I know that exist a client for Windows and Mac, but I can't to find any one for Linux. In my opinion the web version es pretty bad and the company can develop a port for their client.
I think that is important to cover all the platforms for all the users.

I recently created an Ubuntu script to install Deezer based on the fantastic work done by IlyaGulya and SibrenVasse on an AUR package for Arch Linux. It should work on Debian too since Ubuntu is based on Debian, but I haven't tested it.

You can view instructions on how to install it here https://github.com/siphomateke/deezer. It's not at all official and isn't guaranteed to work with future Deezer versions but it's what I am now using.

I'm not sure why Deezer hasn't added support for Linux yet considering the Deezer desktop app for windows is an Electron app and runs just fine on Linux with a few minor tweaks.

Hopefully this helps my fellow Ubuntu users.

Meanwhile, 3 years have past since the first message. No Linux app since.

We're now actively developing an Electron app for Linux - more update in due course :relaxed:

That sounds great! I also would like to have a Deezer client for Linux.

Oh, that’s really great news! As a Linux user, I’m waiting anxiously. A Flatpak version would be really great. I’m about to drop Spotify exactly ‘cause of the “Linux support” is really… Bad. Ya, you have “support” for a really bad optimized Spotify client, or a web client lacking features. In the other side, Deezer have a great web client, it just lacks hability to keep downloaded songs. Another benefit is that for songs that aren’t on Deezer, I can just push/upload them; with Spotify, you “can” do it too, but you’re, in this case, linked to the bad desktop client and a tough sync process between devices.

I think I’ll really keep on Deezer. I’m trying to install client using those “alternative”, non-official methods based on the current Windows/Darwin version, but I’m facing some issues, probably cause I’m not using Arch neither Ubuntu… A Flatpak version would overcome this kind of issues.
