Linux needs a native client for Deezer!

Hello @tobert and @Alblinux, it’s indeed one of the biggest topics in the ‘Got an Idea’ forum. And as Community Managers, it is our job to show it to the teams, however the popularity of the topic is not the only factor that has to be weighed unfortunately. I can’t really speak technically as I just don’t have the skills. Just know that we’re not giving up and we keep pushing for this to become a reality. Sorry that I’m not able to give you more precise information yet.

It's on the plans @Shanni it's got a lot of votes, it just needs to be squeezed in with other priorities 

Pretty interesting, two years of discussions and seems like the guys really don’t care if some percents of users move to Spotify which HAS native linux client.

Solus user, checking back in after 1.5 years, seems there’s a little more traction.

Any of you gents have an interim solution for Solus?

I can get where you're coming from. I've been here at Deezer and witnessed the support for this idea. The good news is that we're making progress internally to get this developed as well 

@Rudi  is there any advance in the Linux version? May be an alpha or beta release?

Not yet @Alblinux but we keep pushing for it. We're organising our plans for the rest of the year so we'll keep insisting on the importance of this feature. The feeling is that we want to develop this but we need to sort out some stuff first (other must-have features and bugs that keep annoying you and the other users) 

Depends on what "features" are we speaking. Bugs okay. They are always the first thing to do, but.. other features over compability? I think it's not the way to go. 

When you have to do a job for move something to another site. You would do the first thing before getting this job bigger than before.

Sure, that's the other side of the coin @Alblinux we have to think of demand as well - imagine our favourites' limits for example. It's been on the pipeline for a long time and requires a lot of development.
