Google Home in the Netherlands

Here now also waiting for months! I hear you it's not easy. You talk about the fact they have their own service, YouTube Music, but they also support Spotify. So why is it so hard to arrange something in the Netherlands? Why is it working in other counties? What is the issue?

I don't mean it as a threat at all, I want to stay at Deezer, but what else can I do then switch to another music service if there is really no progress in this? I don't see some real effort here.

We appreciate your concerns, honestly. The issue here is that it's a commercial partnership, it's difficult to engage on this topic publicly.

There have been huge efforts, that's why some other countries have - we've had to approach Google individually. We'd love to be a global partner like the other service you mentioned, but it isn't that easy. I hope you understand this and I can reassure you, if there's a way to expand the integration, we're all up for it!

And we STILL keep on waiting!

It took ages on Amazon Alexa, now ages for Google Home. I never recommend Deezer for this reason to toher people.

It's about time to link Deezer with Google Home in the Netherlands. Otherwise you are at risk to lose customers to Spotify!

We're well aware of that but as the topic explains, we've been stuck on some commercial challenges for a while. We have some plans on bringing our Deezer experience to more Google Home users, and we hope to get back on this (for The Netherlands) in the near future

When you say “some plans” and “in the near future” I’m feeling a sense of optimism.

Any chance you can elaborate a bit without breaking any commercial/legal agreements?

Honestly, no @Mircea Damian but yes, the optimism is intentional 

We're trying to get a reliable Google Home Deezer Free experience first. The idea is that, after that's accomplished, we'll go back to Google to see if we can continue expanding to other countries. Thank you for your understanding 

So Deezer Free users have more priority than making a beter experience for the paying users, that’s interesting to know. Paying 30 euros a month and not seeing any new feature or improvement in the last 3 years is not convincing. MQA license for more than 2 years and nothing heard of since.

Yes, 3D sound is new, as if anyone is interested in this gimmick. Come on Deezer,  I'm an early supporter, but it's not all blows and whistles for me and my family.  

I was hopping for some Christmas present but it seems I have to be happy with casting.

Do you guys know if Amazon’s speakers are working with Deezer?
