Google Home in the Netherlands

What about the other countries where Deezer is supported? Is spotify a part of Google perhaps? I will probably leave while I would not want that at all.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We don't want you to leave at all either.

The previous countries which have Deezer were arranged over months and each one separately. It was a very demanding process, so we wanted to partner with them. I'm not aware of the streaming service you mentioned, but Google have their own with YouTube Music.

If there are any updates about our integration with Google in the future, we'll update this topic!

Please provide Deezer on Google Home asap on all devices in the Netherlands... Please Please Please. 

Don't wait too long. I expect Deezer to take action this year (2019). If not I'll switch to Spotify in the new year. 

Thank you for your honest feedback @MIKEZZ. I can confirm that this won't be happening this year - as mentioned above, Google needs to be keen on it first.

This is really an issue for me, I like Deezer and since it comes with my telco's plan (T-mobile) I want to stick to it, but I also want this to work with my Nest Hub/Mini.

Sorry to hear that @Erik Schulp. We also really wanted to stream everywhere, especially in the Netherlands. You can always reach out to Google so that they're made aware.

This is so messed up. I love Deezer and I need Deezer for my Samsung soundbar as Spotify it's not supported on there. For Google home I need Spotify as Deezer is not supported! This is driving me nuts!

@Rudi Is there anything that we from the community can do to speed this up? Submit requests to Google somehow? 

I'd say so, yes @MusicL0v3r. It's been really difficult for us to expand our integration with them. Perhaps pushing an idea on their community helps to bridge the gap. I'm hopeful.

At the moment, Google hasn't enabled our integration in The Netherlands. But your support definitely contributes to the idea!

What is current status on Deezer being available in Google Home as streaming Service?

Any progression booked with Google? As many in the thread already switched (back) to Spotify I have the same plans and if home automation and integration is maturing fast, you loose valuable users in not having the integration available, or… are there tweaks to use Google Home in English from The Netherlands to make use of Deezer?

Thanks for reaching out about this. I genuinely think that Google is in a better position to answer you. I've pinned my reply of some time ago. This isn't because of Deezer efforts, but because Google chooses its global partners - we need to expand country by country, and that process is a long drive for our side, always. Thank you for your understanding 

I don’t understand why Deezer is not compatible with Google Home.

Smart speakers are booming in The Netherlands and if this problem is not solved a lot of customers switch to Spotify. 
 

I’ve contacted Google and they said they liked the idea, but they suggested that I also contact Deezer for further information.

Please bear in mind the device is theirs - and they have their own streaming service. We worked hard and for a long time on establishing the integrations in the current countries we have - but like explained here and in other topics, it's a commercial partnership. With the amount of Deezer fans in the Netherlands, we're all pro this integration - hope you understand 

i am thinking about migrating to spotify as well. it is really ludicrous that deezer is still not supported.

i have been a deezer customer for years and have a family account but i am done waiting...

Why can I connect to Spotify and not to Deezer via Google assistant in the Netherlands. This is crazy and will very soon result in me leaving Deezer and join Spotify.

The reason being is because Google has partnered with that streaming service to be its global music partner.

With Deezer, we have to request a different type of integration with one country to be expanding to at a time - mostly depending on Google's decision. Thank you for your understanding 

It is unbelievable this integration for the Netherlands customers keeps dragging on. Moderators all give a single answer it ain’t there yet. No timeline no ETA nothing at all to rest all assured it will arrive…. real painful ...

Here now also waiting for months! I hear you it's not easy. You talk about the fact they have their own service, YouTube Music, but they also support Spotify. So why is it so hard to arrange something in the Netherlands? Why is it working in other counties? What is the issue?

I don't mean it as a threat at all, I want to stay at Deezer, but what else can I do then switch to another music service if there is really no progress in this? I don't see some real effort here.

We appreciate your concerns, honestly. The issue here is that it's a commercial partnership, it's difficult to engage on this topic publicly.

There have been huge efforts, that's why some other countries have - we've had to approach Google individually. We'd love to be a global partner like the other service you mentioned, but it isn't that easy. I hope you understand this and I can reassure you, if there's a way to expand the integration, we're all up for it!

And we STILL keep on waiting!

It took ages on Amazon Alexa, now ages for Google Home. I never recommend Deezer for this reason to toher people.

It's about time to link Deezer with Google Home in the Netherlands. Otherwise you are at risk to lose customers to Spotify!
