Hello@Rudi,

Any rough timeframe available? I already have a google home and can't use that, but also a Sonos Beam which will be assistant supported as of July in the Netherlands. An absoute must for me that this is then up and running with Deezer. Tx in advance!

No timeframe yet but I just know that The Netherlands are in top position to get this integration among all countries in the list. So I'm hopeful it's very soon!

I’m using Deezer for years now (with my T-Mobile subscription) and I’m very happy with it. It also works great with my HEOS audio system. But, what about the integration with Google Home and Google Assistant in The Netherlands? I’ve bought the Google Nest Hub (a.k.a. Google Home Hub) a couple of days ago and of course I want to use it with my Deezer account, but only Google Play Music, YouTube Music and - your biggest competitor - Spotify are supported.

The perfect combination (in my case): Deezer —> HEOS —> Google Home/Assistant. Where I can listen to Deezer music thru the HEOS speakers via Google Home/Assistant (on my Google Nest Hub), in Dutch. 👍🏼👊🏼💪🏼

Hey Deezer......🙂 any update on this one?



I am waiting now for already half a year and still the Gogle assistent says it does not recognizes Deezer.... Getting a bit impatient here.... Are there ways to unlock Deezer in English, since this would be fine for me as interim solution....

Please activate Deezer with Google Home Assistant in the Netherlands.
When it is possible than can I combines Deezer with the Sonos Ons.

No updates so far but I've requested more info from our partnerships team. Hopefully we'll get more info soon.

It’s getting ridiculous how long this takes. This long wait and more and more songs not available on Deezer but everywhere else to be found makes me almost want to jump ship. My long and many playlists prevent me from going not much longer anymore. The whole service seems to lose track 😞

Connection to google nest hub takes far too long Deezer, you will loose me soon..two month to go until my subscription expires. ..realize i am one of your first customers in Netherlands.

Well, looking thru this topic (started >1 year ago) I'm definitely not convinced that this will but sorted out any time soon.

Reading though the comments, I will not wait for it. First of all I was very dissapointed that deezer cannot be used with google home. It was the reason I bought the google home. (tested at my brother in England, never thought it couldn't be use in Holland).

So, no more time to waste. I will cancel my subscription with deezer and move on with spotify...

Thanks Deezer, for the good times we had... Maybe we will see each other again in the futher, when we will be taken more seriously...

Thnx for your reply. Bit late though. I subscribed to Spotify that works seamlessly with my Sonos and Google. Been migrating my playlists for a few days now and will be ready in a few weeks. No need to stay with Deezer anymore at that point. I have to thank you for those wonderfull years being a Deezer HQ subscriber but the time has come to make concessions. Cheers!

Well, i'm definitely thinking about doing the same here, because this takes way to long. About a year now. Why not roll out this feature in the Netherlands. I think you are gonna lose more customers here. I want the voice control feature with the Home and the Sonos, but without your support i can't. Yes there is one way i can, and that is getting an SPOTIFY account.I will wait for one more month, otherwise i move over to them, thats for sure!

Same here, I signed up for a trial account + 1YR subscription, under the impression Deezer is integrated with Google home in the Netherlands. To my surprise, this is not the case. I will cancel my subscription if I can't use it with Google home.

I'm sorry this is taking longer than expected. The Netherlands were always our top priority for this integration, but we're still waiting for an update. Hopefully we'll hear good news soon. Thank you for your patience.

Today... Bought a Harman Kardon at Mediamarkt. They provided me te info Deezer can be used whit Google home on the HK citation 1....Now i find out this is not yet possible...?

When can we use it in Nederlands..... HELP!

You loose clients to Spotify......!

Hi,

I'm waiting on the change for google home to play Deezer since last year. I am very disappointed that not even the English interface is implemented yet while others music suppliers and other country's already have this functionality. As a paying subscriber since 2013 its sad that the Netherlands has so little priority.

My subscription will end next month and I’m sad to say that I’m not extending it if this future is not implemented. (which I don’t expect Deezer will).

Thanks for 6 years of music.

Thank you for your support. Our product managers have recently informed us that our integration with Google Home in more countries doesn’t depend on us, but on Google themselves. We’ve been working hard for the past couple of years to improve this, but ultimately it is down to Google to choose which global partners to have on their devices. Thank you for your understanding on this.

On a separate note, thank you for your honest feedback and for your loyalty over the years. We're making several improvements to our service and there's even more to come. But about this integration, it's not up to us to implement it. We've been trying for quite some time to become a partner of Google in their voice devices, but they've made their choices. Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks for the update, but I think this is a great example of bad communication, which is a pity. You promised that it was fixed soon a year ago, because it was Deezers top priority. Now you say that you depend on Google. I think your team at Deezer knew this from the beginning. I wonder how you prioritize development, as the thing that you can’t influence yourself is the top priority on the list. That’s very bad product management.

How is it possible that Deezer is available in other countries?

So this means no integration will be available in the Netherlands in the near future as Google declined Deezer? Hopefully we get an honest answer….

Thank you for your honesty. I do apologise for the way you feel about this. And here at Deezer we also share some of that frustration, believe it or not.

This is because the Netherlands was, indeed, in pole position to get the integration. And for every single country we expanded to, we needed to arrange this with Google separately, over some time. It became a tough process to invest in, so we worked hard to be one of their global partners - meaning we'd be everywhere the device is. But as you know, Google has their own streaming service. And we haven't moved forward with them about this for quite some time, so we want to manage our own users' expectations by being transparent.

This doesn't mean we'll not get there, but we'll try different ways to deliver our service on their devices. Thank you for your understanding.


Thank you @Rudi for your honest response. I understand your frustration also, it is really annoying that Google think they rule the world and we are for a large part dependent on them. Hopefully you can move forward in the near future. Good luck!
