I want to have gapeless playback in Deezer desktop. It is so important for many classical albums like a symphonies.

Just signed up with Deezer for three months at Ā£0.99. Really like the app, I found the sound quality on my system much more lively than Spotify, generally a good experience. And then I played a live album. Questioned my home network .... why did the music stop for a second? Couldnā€™t believe it was a gapless ā€œissueā€, so put The Wall on. Then checked on here. Indeed, it doesnā€™t support gapless. Tried the crossfade but, Iā€™m sorry, NO!!! Shame. Spotify it is then.

Hi there, unfortunately we are not able to say when this will be available I am afraid. I am happy to pass on the feedback, that might speed up the process.

+1 for gapless playback, please. I uninstalled Spotify because the latest version of the Android app is really bloaty and my old phone struggles with it. Was absolutely loving Deezer until I played Prodigy... what's the gap all about????? I don't know whether it's easy or hard to implement, but I am going to have to go looking at other alternatives :(
I had been shouting to anyone who'd listen how good Deezer was, and now I look a bit silly... And I was going to sign up. Not until this is fixed.

I have Deezer Beta and I don't have the crossfade option.

I'm listening to known good sounding albums at the moment with the beta desktop app at HiFi audio quality, e.g. Wagner operas or Alan Parsons recordings. It is very irritating to listen to the break between songs where they should flow from one to the next without a pause, especially when you know the recordings so well. So here is another vote for gapless playback. If the MP3 format is the problem, it should at least work with the FLAC encoded tracks in HiFi setting, as they are bit-identical to the uncompressed original files.

Hello

I would like to ask about this feature.
next song in my playlist start before current song end about 7 to 10 Seconds.
It's useful, especially when a list is prepared to my party . I do not want music to stop.
thanx a lot.

Deezer should have a Crossfade on playlist where you can blend in music one after another. Spotify has it and it makes a difference when you're djing at a party.

Are you going to bring the crossfade option to the android version too? And also when I'm changing the track using my heaphones it makes a weird transation from one track to the other, for example when I change the track using the mic I hear 1 second of the song that I switching from instead of just playing the next track immediately.

Hi there, we don't have an ETA, but so many people have been asking for this and I'm sure our devs are working on it! Hopefully this will be available soon!

Can you please tell me when will I be able to download my playlist and play it with crossfade function. And no, I dont use IOS but I still pay the same fee as apple users who have these options. Is this too much to ask. It is almost 2019 and dont have this solved. You seem to be working on this problem for years but apparently not hard enough.

Dear Deezer-Team,

gapless playback is a must. I just voted for it. This is a huge advantage for Spotify. Please fix this.

This is unbelievable. I just paid for three months premium and THEN discovered there is no gapless playback. This is horrible especially for audio books with many short chapters. It breaks up dialogue in the middle of sentences... Please implement gapless!!!!

What a joke, signed up for the lossless streaming only to discover immediately that every track crossfades, I WILL NOT continue my subscription beyond this first month, this completely ruins the listening experience of so many albums I came here for.

What disturbs me the most is how trivially you (deezer) seem to take this suggestion, it is clearly very sought after, it's not "hard" or new as it's across many other platforms, and it has a massive impact on the major product that you offer; a large library of diverse top quality music for enthusiasts.

An absolute joke, I hope deezer becomes a distant memory.

I have to agree with everyone else. I've had enough of my listening experience being ruined by the lack of gapless. I'm a long term Deezer subscriber and didn't realise the other platforms didn't have this issue. I'm about to invest in a network music player specifically so I can stream music directly rather than bluetooth it via a desktop app or phone. I'm not about to make that investment to then have my music interrupted by gaps that aren't meant to be there. After all this time I shall be ending my Deezer subscription unless this is sorted out. Sorry Deezer but you need to fix this if you want my continued support. If you can't, please explain why not. Crossfade is not a solution to this problem.

Please sort this out. Gaps between tracks on both classical and rock albums ruin the listening experience. If iTunes and Spotify can do it, why can't you, Deezer? Try and keep up!

Deezer not offering gapless playback is definitely a reason for me not to join Deezer. I'm currently trying out Deezer hifi to see if it fits my needs and I was listening to Pink Floyd's album Wish you were here and without gapless playback it is destroying the listening experience. I'm staying with Spotify for this reason... It is even outweighing the lossy vs lossless argument pro Deezer hifi. This problem has to be fixed!

So I waited some two years or more for Deezer to fix this. I'm amazed they still haven't fixed this. My patience is out, there's much I love about Deezer but gapless is a must for a person who listen to artists like Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream and a lot of classical music.

So, today I transferred all my playlists, artists and albums to Spotify and now it 's time to say goodbye and end the subscription. A shame really. Since you offer a hifi option I really never understood why you never could make this work.

Bye bye Deezer.

I know everyone compares Deezer with Spotify. But you have to consider that Spotify has around 3000 employees and Deezer has 330 employees... Therefore they are doing a great job.

But yes pls set the Gapless function on high priority. Our kids are complaining every day that the don't understand something because there is the fade out/in.
