Hello,

Saw several similar posts, but they were not created at “”Got an idea” section.

The suggestion is to implement function of Deezer player to directly connect external USB DAC’s at smartphones (bypassing the operating system mixer).

Since smartphone makers refuse using 3.5 mm mini jack, audiophiles pay attention to adapters with DAC. It’s assortment is growing - number of reviews on YouTube and feedbacks at Ali confirm this.

Streaming platforms as Tidal and Qobuz allow to output sound directly to external DAC through application “USB Audio Player Pro”. Deezer has no such function.

In my opinion implementation of this function at Deezer application itself (without workaround) will become a competitive advantage of service and will attract additional audience of audiophiles.

When I have a deezer hifi tariff on my iphone.  And I connect a FiiO Q3 to it so it won't play HiFi?  Even though the song has a HiFi icon?

@Rudi Any progress on this idea? Sound is much better on Exclusive mode on Tidal or Amazon Music.

Lol this is really depressing😂😂 How can it be so hard to implement an exclusive mode? Staying with Tidal through Roon for now...

Would love to see this functionality in Deezer.

I'm a Deezer Hi-Fi subscriber for few moths already, after using Tidal.

I was hopping Deezer will implement a bitperfect option in their application to avoid upsamlling of android/windows, like the one used by USB Player Pro.(it is possible)

External dac is becoming more and more popular, prices accessible for music lovers and new mobile are dropping audio jack.

As far i understood windows/ android upsamlling to 48khz because of video content is using this sample rate and is more popular than CD music (flac).

Then are the music providers like deezer without video content and Hi-Fi music.

I belive Deezer should pay attention to their Hi-Fi users. Hi-fi users for sure will go to the best provider.

For example willing to pay 3rd aplication party only to get better quality.(USB Player Pro) Personally I did this and i was disapointed because it was only for online use, nothing offline.

Dear Deezer, implement baypass of upsampling CD quality to other sample rates for your Hi-Fi users.

Tidal is losing users due to MQA that replace the original flac and making magic upsamplig.

Your application is better bt the way.

Still nothing on this ?

We need updates !

Thank you.

 Hello, Deezers!

How long can we wait for a solution to this problem? Why are all absolutely important questions ignored !?

Thanks.

I've been using Spotify for years and, as I started focusing more on audio quality, I switched to Tidal which I left for Deezer mainly because of MQA.

While Deezer is the best music streaming service I've ever used, it's frustrating that it's so hard to get Deezer Hi-Fi working properly with my current equipment.

I would really appreciate if you could provide a solution for this or at least give more feedback to the community on this and similar topics.

With Spotify planning to integrate lossless this year it will be hard to justify not switching back.

Hello Deezers, still no dice with USB Player Pro to bypass Android resampling?

This needs to be addressed.

I want my 44100Hz NOT to be tinkered with. Shame this is impossible with such a ubitiquos thing like an Android phone.

When I play Deezer and play a voice message in Messenger Lite it sometimes changes to 44.1kHz!

Even for an hour…

Will keep Investigating and putting pressure on Deezer.

Deezer teem is too lazy to really worry about sound quality, in their opinion bitrate and HiFi sticker is enougn for most users. But good lossy, as OGG or AAC at high bitrate, bypasssed Android audio hell, really sounds better than lossless after  upsampler/normalyzer/effect layer/mixer

  1. Dump your iPhone as BT is not capable of HiFi streams via BT(Apple Walled Garden), and their so called wired connection is a DAC
  2. Android Devices use the LDAC code which has a max bitrate of 990Khz, and they have had this for years.
  3. Get a pair of Sony WH-1000XM4 which uses LDAC, and you WILL hear the difference even on BT! You will have to go into BT setting and enable this

  1.

I recently upgraded to Deezer Hifi, and I was surprised to see this Deezer can not to pass audio directly to a DAC in Hifi Modus via USB.

Am I seeing this correctly? Could this be back in 2021?

still no update? I will change to Tidal or Quobuz if there is no progress in the very near future… Sad. I liked deezer otherwise...

Yet another voice in support of this (much missed!) feature.

Man tried amazon and deezer has no exclusive mode either

1 year on and still no progress or further communication from Deezer, right?

@Rudi

Hifi subscription is virtually castrated without this implementation can we get some kind of realistic timeframe of please. If it's not coming we would rather know.

No possibility to use a DAC per USB. I will quit my account

Just signed up after being fed up with Spotify delaying HiFi. From macOS I guess the poor man’s option now is to set the system audio to AirPlay to `shairpoint-sync` running on a Raspberry Pi or such. But this is all tinkering. Here’s to hoping you will be giving output-to-USB first-class support not too long from now.

This feature is essential, any updates by Deezer please!?

With Samsung Galaxy Note9 and HDIZS 9 seems that USB audio is not castrated. The HIDIZS logo became blu during Deezer use on Note9.

Why? Is there a workaround?

I also want to see this feature :)

You could in the meantime provide a HWOTO guide using some third party software to achieve this.. People wanting this might be willing to follow something like that in the meantime. It’s a few hours/days work for an engineer per platform to investigate, test and document. Please consider.

I don’t get it, I play fully lossless Deezer via my iPad to my DAC, and when running iPeng it even plays 24bit 96Khz files bought from HDtracks. Why does it have to be exclusive?

I really do not understand the total ignorance of the Deezer staff on this matter on the community. It has costed them a number of subscribers and surely more to come in the future.
