Hello,

Saw several similar posts, but they were not created at “”Got an idea” section.

The suggestion is to implement function of Deezer player to directly connect external USB DAC’s at smartphones (bypassing the operating system mixer).

Since smartphone makers refuse using 3.5 mm mini jack, audiophiles pay attention to adapters with DAC. It’s assortment is growing - number of reviews on YouTube and feedbacks at Ali confirm this.

Streaming platforms as Tidal and Qobuz allow to output sound directly to external DAC through application “USB Audio Player Pro”. Deezer has no such function.

In my opinion implementation of this function at Deezer application itself (without workaround) will become a competitive advantage of service and will attract additional audience of audiophiles.

Just tried Deezer HiFi for my phone + external dac and found it useless. As system non-multiple frequency upsampling and mixing damage source stream even more than inaudible frequency and amplitude drops of hi-bitrate lossy. It's really shame that company provided nominal "hifi" option doesn't provide the ability to get it in facts.

I agree. This needs to be implemented.

I totally agree

Hi Deezer,

Any updates on this ?

I really think it'll bring Deezer to the top !

I would also like this to be implemented. Seems a lossless service such as Deezer needs to have WASAPI and ASIO support on the desktop app. I would pay a couple of dollars more for this. Or may have to consider another service for lossless music streaming. Hopefully you guys are onto this!

Hi, Deezer!
Just updated to Deezer HiFi. I hope that soon Deezer will implement this feature.

Hello! I was so surprised that there is no exclusive mode! This is complete BS, I am for sure cancelling if this is not implemented during free testing period! Was hoping to replace BS Tidal MQA for this, but with exclusive mode Tidal sorry, sounds much better!

Almost a year and still can’t use my external DAC

I just created my account to switch from my Tidal subscription because of MQA to find out that Deezer doesn’t support exclusive mode?! WHAT?

@StormNinjaPenguin same here… This is unbelievable. Without bit-perfect playback paying for the HiFi plan is simply a waste of money & bandwidth.

I’ve tested all music streaming services available in my place of living. I must admit that Deezer is second to none in comparison with rest - no “oil snake” Master/MQA shite (and secretly replacing perfectly mastered albums with MQA remasters with nasty sound’s compression), no 360/DTS/video bullshit, nice looking GUI that is really pleasant to my eyes, a wide music offering… Moreover, after some struggle I was able to commence bit-perfect playback in Linux by utilize ALSA with PulseAudio omission.

I’m begging you, please put an end to this disgraceful situation :)

It has been almost 1 year since this request was posted.... Is there any update ?  This feature would seal the deal for me. I'm currently subscribed to qobuz and deezer, and I am looking to reduce that by one.

Just unbelievable this doesn't work!!! 30 years after buying my first CD I can't stream CD quality from my phone to an external DAC.

Shitty Volumio, expensive Roon are no alternatives. My only library is called Deezer, I don't need Roon. I won't use bluetooth nor switching on my notebook to listen to music, because.... guess what.... it doesn't make sense!!

I need 2021-style functionality. It should just work the way bluetooth does, but fully uncompressed . That's all, nothing more. Direct connection over USB or Wlan, is that so complicated ???

This is a deal breaker for me. Why can’t any of the streaming services get this right? Tidal has it, but I will not support their forced MQA BS. Quboz has it, but their selection sucks. Amazon and Deezer both have great selection, but don’t support Wasapi Exclusive. I guess I’m stuck with Quboz until Amazon or Deezer adds this.

Was just about to switch from tidal to Deezer hifi, but if I can get the music out to my dac what exactly am I (or anyone really) paying extra for on the hifi tier?

Need an asio or wasapi out. Or get your API into something like audirvana so they can do it for you. Without it I won't make it out of my trial (which seems wasted now) without this functionality

Helli Deezer !

Any update on this ?? It's been 6 months since the last one. Even a “nothing has chaged" update would be appreciable. I'm really looking forward to this feature, Deezer will become the best. Thank you in advance !

Hey, Deezer. I am totally agree with people above. Looking for this feature for 6 months.

I remember that you have it on you "board" of tasks, please provide any feedback about current status.

Thank you.

Any updates on this? It’s a crucial function for hifi sound.

Any update on this? Hmm I think go back to Spotify

Got here only to realize HIFI on Deezer at this point is only a marketing gimmick if we can't consume lossless audio they way it was intended.

Would love to see support for DAC in android via UAPP. I hope Deezer beats Spotify to this race. Looks like I'm stuck with Tidal for now.

Up

Hello Deezer !

Anything new on this subject ?

We need to know if it's something you will be working on soon enough.

Personally, I'm going to Qobuz in the mean time.

Apple music just announced Dolby Atmos and lossless format. Deezer is probably losing this race.

Seems to me that they are not even racing :’(

It’s weird to have a lossless hifi service without the necessary hardware support so you can use this distinctive and supposed advantage. To me its an endgame with Deezer.

Still no updates...? This seems like a very important matter for all Hifi tier subscribers.

When my one-month free trial will finish, i'm going back to tidal and uapp. I'll happily return to deezer, when options mentioned above will be implemented.
