Deezer Favourite Tracks Limit of 2000 too small - please increase it!

For me, 2,000 favourite tracks is not enough. I have reached that limit already!

Because of the liking feature (heart symbol) in Flow, I add a lot of good songs automatically to the playlist of loved tracks.

I would therefore ask Deezer to please increase this limit for favourite songs.

On Tidal you can save 9,999 songs in a playlist and you can have 9,999 playlists/favourite albums/favourite songs/favourite artists.

On the German support page of Deezer I found this information:

It states that the 2,000 items rule also goes for albums, which, in my opinion, is not enough.

I wish that I could save, say 4,000 favourite abums and 8,000 songs.

Please, Deezer, extend the limits (as a Premium plan subscriber I pay for the service and my library is already not big enough for my fave songs/albums).

Yes, I have created a new playlist on my own for „loved tracks part 2“.

But when I like songs in the Flow/recommendations, my feedback automatically adds them to the very limited auto generated playlist of favourite songs (which is full).

One year has gone, and we have nothing.
I have music library with more than 1 thousand artists.
So I can only add 2 songs from each of them to favorite songs.

" I'd suggest you move some of the tracks from your Favorites to other playlists or just create a second "Favorites" list and just move all tracks to that one. (That's very simple on browser) 😉"

It's genius, but no...
Better to change you to another streaming service.

I've read today that Spotify have made changes to how your store music in "Your Library". They now allow 10k items, 1 album counts as 1 item, and 1 favourite track counts as 1 item - so a lot bigger than before (which was all the albums tracks counted towards the 10k limit).

I hope Deezer are still working on this?

Sorry for the late reply. This is certainly being discussed but I know from our Product Managers that it won't be expanded in the near future. Other features are now taking priority. In any case, I've passed the feedback on to them because we need to be aware of what our competitors are doing 😉

Hope this will be the next update, after the Dark Mode. Spotify made a mess out of saved songs with the last update and a large number of favouritable songs could help draw them to Deezer 😉

Perhaps not soon - but it's been discussed for quite some time. We've got some new features in the pipeline for the summer. But if anything changes will let you know 😉

@Rudi thank you for your reply. I believe the reason for limits is quite critical why it can’t be solved fast. And of course other features are also important for users. Let’s wait when.

@Rob Igo: Has there been an official statement or news article about that change? I just checked their main Ideas thread (with more than 10k votes for an increase) with users still complaining about the limit, but also mentioning the change to 10k albums, but no recent staff comments:

Anyhow, it is an interesting move, as I mainly save whole albums to my library, not individual songs, and want to shuffle my complete library when listening. So I created a lot of large playlists in several folders on Spotify, and it seems I still have to do that for shuffling my library, as the Album section does not offer an overall Play All button.
