Dark/Night Mode

I was thinking about switching from Spotify to Deezer, because I am not overall happy with Spotify. First thing I noticed was, that there's no dark theme. Therefor I asked Google and it brought me here.

Seeing, that there's not reaction at all after 8 month and more is just a bad sign and makes me regret the change. As I am on my free month, I am already thinking of switching back to Spotify again.

It is not about the fact, that there's no dark theme. It is just the behavior of Deezer as a company. Ingoring your customers is always a bad behavior and a bad sign. It is a big middle finger into the face of your customers. You would think, that there's someone in that company, who would have been able to post a comment within 8 month. It just shows, that they just don't care for their customers...

Pointless to say, that I would like to have dark theme as well! I mean - It is just switching colors, no witchcraft at all. It's not like they have to recode the whole app again...

I can tell you that the dark theme is on it's way very soon - if you read these forums you'll see that Deezer always listen and have commented saying that due to people voting for this they began working on it.... I don't know of an eta but I've been told soon! 🙂

I really hope you're right about this. I'm partially blind and the white background is not easy for me. But I have a feeling that it'll be just like Google Play, where they promised for years to get a dark theme and still don't have it. But what's even more bothersome is that the Deezer team hasn't posted on the community page. They haven't replied to my email to their support team.

This reminds me of the OnePlus community, where they used to "listen" to their customers and now ignore their customers. Deezer would steal the heart of many Spotify users if they take action soon. Rather than sitting back and filling their bank accounts with money.

With that said, I really love Deezer so far. The UI is superior and the music quality is great. I'm still trying to figure out how to download and shuffle music from one artist at a time. For example, Spotify has a catagory of the artist, you click on the artist name in your library and then you can play ALL of their music from there. But I only see that I can create a playlist for the artist and just add each album there, in order to play them all.

Unless there's another way of doing this?

At at this stage I have pretty much given up on a dark mode been waiting over a year and not seen a reply about it.

I love to use Deezer a lot, and i invited my friends on Deezer as well, who use it actively pretty much. I just want to ask, is there any plans on dark theme for all apps and website ? I am not big fan of white theme in general, i hope you guys will consider this idea.

How does such a trivial change to the UI take so long for them to implement?

Heaven forbid anyone ask for a new feature of any complexity.

Aspecialy with the new look deezer has, the lyric page just burn my eyes at night. At this point in time dark theme should be a basic function as youtube, twitch, reddit etc. already did it way back.
That being said love using Deezer!

The new web layout stayed very good, but i think that will be more beautiful if has more theme options like dark, grey, light ...

I love dark themes, and for me and other friends that are programmers too is very hard to use these light theme on night.

I was make one example (very poor), but very useful to see one idea.

How about the idea of a dark screen mode like how Youtube or Twitter of have the dark screen mode.
