Polestar 2 is releasing there first car with android automotive. The volvo XC40 electric will also have this software interface built in. These are the first cars based on android with the possibility to install apps. I really hope Deezer will invent an app for it. So far Spotify is already availed on this platform.

I received my new Polestar car yesterday and was very, véry surprised not to find the Deezer app in Android Automotive OS. Spotify is there (of course), but also Tidal… yet you are nowhere to be found!!
How is this possible?
Please do not force me to switch to Spotify just because you are unwilling to create an Android Automotive version of your app?! More and more cars will use this OS (https://techcrunch.com/2021/09/23/googles-android-automotive-os-is-coming-to-honda-cars-in-2022) so please don’t stay behind on this one!!

Any update? Just got a new Volvo and am quite surprised to see only Spotify available to me. Do I really have to cancel my subscription to Deezer and move to Spotify?
Sorry everyone for the time being we won’t support Android Automotive, but keep voting for the idea and it might be implemented in the future!

Following@Yula disappointing answer I've taken a subscription with Spotify. Not what I wanted at all, but if Deezer aren't interested to support this, I've no choice.

Okay, well this is a pretty disappointing outcome isn't it. Just taken delivery of a Polestar 2 and noticed no Deezer as well.
I've been a paid Deezer customer since 2013, I need music in the car so will not be messing about praying, you are too late. Will be cancelling and switching to Spotify today.

We just got an XC-40 Recharge this past winter. It's Android driven, and as mentioned above, offers all other music apps, including Tidal, but not Deezer. We had been paying Spotify users for 5 years and switched over during the pandemic. We really enjoy Deezer, but for us to stay long-term, we'll need the app in the car.
When can we expect this app to be ready and available?

After two years of people asking for this and still nothing. I can't even play the Deezer player on the Vivaldi browser. Serious mistake, Deezer. I imagine a lot of Polestar drivers will use Deezer and that there's a big crossover with your user bases. If no progress in the next few weeks I will switch to Spotify having been a Deezer user for more than five years.

Ho there, i read in the FAQ that Automotive OS is supporting a Deezer app but this would all limited to the car manufacturers.

This is becoming very strange! Many upvotes no comments from Deezer. Support also has no answers? Does@Deezer really not care about bringing its app to android automotive? Will be switching over to Tidal soon. Very disapointing.
Finally available on Google Play for download! I've installed on my XC40 yesterday and is working. Looks simplified (for example, I didn't find a way to download the musics for offline use), but is very similar considering all others apps available untill now. Much better than nothing.
