"Add to Queue" and "Play next" available via Chromecast

Is there an option to play next while I'm casting through Chromecast? While listening to an album I had the urge to listen to another track. I wanted to add this to my queue so I could continue to listen the album after I listened to this random track. This seems to be an option that is available when I'm just listening on my iPhone, but once I start casting I can no longer add tracks to my queue to play next. What am I don't wrong? Thanks.

A search in the support section of Deezer shows 161 topics related to issues with casting. And still Rudi makes the same comments for a year now in every topic, most common phrase "We're almost there". Makes you look like a joke. Deezer seems to lack the capabilities to solve these problems where others have already implemented this a long time ago. Maybe you should hire some real tech folk instead of these amateurs.

I appreciate your feedback. I've been honest throughout, we are indeed working on this integration for several months - almost a year. I agree that it doesn't look good and it's actually frustrating for us as well.

We want to provide the best experience possible, but we also know our size and the resources we have. And about the integration, we're using Google's latest protocol, CAF. Can you queue songs while casting now?

I guess new chromecast integration has been released as it works well now. However I can’t see ‘Play next’ / ‘Add to queue’ option still. Any news about that?

Hi @Jonas Ancher, hi @Dawid_m we are sorry but the two features ‘Play next’ / ‘Add to queue’ are still not available via Chromecast. However, the responsible team said they want to work on that, too :slight_smile:

Well, the mentioned "play next / add to queue” where the main reason for asking for better chromecast support. So, even now we have to vote for commitment from the team to integrate this functionality! I've drawn my conclusion, switching to Youtube Music with all the chromecast support you can wish and more .
