Quite a significant factor in choosing a streaming service for me has been the ability to organise my music library to how I like it. Google Play Music does this very well, allowing users to edit song and album titles, release dates and the names of artists, amongst other things.
An example would be editing an album with the title "Album Name (2012 Remastered Special Edition)" to just "Album Name". The same thing would apply to the tracks in said album, so everything becomes much easier to read, especially on car displays and mobile devices.
These changes can even be completely local to a user's account i.e. a user can make changes to their library without it affecting anyone else's. This way content providers don't need to get involved and users don't need to wait for admins to edit the data for them.
I'm looking to move away from GPM now and am liking Deezer so far, but it doesn't have this feature. Having this would be a significant selling point for me as no other service I've tried apart from GPM has done this reliably, and it makes a streaming service so much more enjoyable to use.

That's another gripe I have with Deezer, was going to mention it in a different post but you beat me to it.
Aside from wasting your track count and download space it's annoying to have all these extra songs you're never going to listen to.

Getting off-topic, I actually really like that Tarja Turunen has decided to publish her B-Sides, radio-edits and demos together as second-tier albums rather than messing with bonus editions.
+1But you can just add the tracks you like to a playlist and add the title you think is best 🙂

Having personalized overrides in the user account, that will display consistently over all devices and in deezer webbrowser too, is probably a bigger change, and will add quite significantly to the server resources consumed...

If you scrobble your Deezer listening data to Last.fm, you can edit it there as a subscriber.

Google Music has this option and it will be closed in October.
GM users are searching options. You could easily get most, if not all of them, grabbing some features from Google Music. One is to edit tracks in your collection. You can make it even better.
Not only in collection, but on lists as well.
Is free to follow and you get much of new customers easily.
And yes, almost five years on Google Music, and by force needed to go Deezer Premium, before closure of my favourite place to listen music I do miss this option to edit tracks.
I was a happy Google Play Music user and I was dragged kicking and screaming to YouTube Music. I continue to be frustrated that YouTube Music doesn’t let me edit metadata the way Google Play Music did. It worked so well!
