Hello

I would be very happy if there was the possibility to delete the songs listening history by clicking the button "Delete" or something else.

I don't want that every song I heard consciously or wrongly appears there and I can't change this.

Just like you can delete the search history by clicking the "Delete" button, it should be possible here as well.

For me it is a no-go that this does not exist. Please introduce this. If you want to see your songhistory, you should continue to do so, for those who don't want to do so, there should be a possibility to decide about it.

PLEASE :raised_hands:

THANK YOU!!!

Thanks for requesting this feature @petersanakelsz - you've got my vote. Feel free to invite other users here in the community to get more votes and priority to your suggestion.

For the time being, I'll be forwarding your idea to our developers

Thanks Rudi, I hope you can introduce this. Then Deezer would be perfect. Just this one thing that is missing.

I thing this is a must. Without this tool, I feel like I lost control over my own music library. Deezer loosing points with this, lots of points.

Hello @Enric, thank you for the feedback, could you explain why you think you’re losing control over your library? This might be interesting to our teams.

Have a nice day

Hi Kevin,

I (and many others) dislike having a non optional ‘permanent record’ of what we’ve listened to, on our public profile no less!!! In the past, this prevented me from using any of the social functions of deezer, as there’s no way to hide it without making your whole account private. My partner decided against getting a Deezer account for this reason, and I am now considering moving to Tidal, entirely because I would not have this problem.

I can see that other users have been asking for this feature for years, but it seems like Deezer does not feel its users should have any control over their public profile beyond private or not private. A real shame!

@Kevin Deezer@Rudi@petersanakelsz
Thank you for your reply.

Having browsed the history of this particular issue, I can see that some Deezer users have been asking for this extremely common, easily to impliment feature for over two years. The fact that it still doesn’t exist indicates that the folks in charge clearly believe that users should not be able to clear their public history. I hope they have a good reason for doing so, as it’s lost them a customer!

Hello @cf328014, I really don’t think it’s a question of belief but of choices and priority as to which changes need to be made to our service with the resources we have. We do appreciate your feedback and we’re sorry to see you go.

Hello.

Where do you exactly find public history of your listenings?

I visited my Deezer profile in Incognito mode and here it only shows five top songs, artists and albums. I was not able to find my public music history, unless I went to my Last.fm profile which is optional. I found out that you can also make your Deezer profile private four yourself.

Would like to hear more from you.

The one I see, recently played, on playlists when logged in, they are shown only for me.

If you have ANY playlists with sensitive topics, you can simply made them private, even if everythnig else from yours lists stays private. I hope this helps a lot today. Feel fine.

Best regards.

Need some music to your quarantine? Listen my Hard Dance Quarantine playlist on Deezer.

It's not about private or public playlists. It's about the fact that as a user i want to have some control over my account and don’t want have a list of all my musical sins of my Deezer life.

This has nothing to do with the choice of whether i set the account to private or public. Even in a Google account (which is pravate and only I access), I can choose to disable or delete certain parameters like previous searches. This should be possible, even if only I (and Deezer) can see this. This option should be implemented so that you can delete or disable the history.

Earlier last month out of nowhere three days worth of continuous playing was tracked in my history. I did not listen to those, mostly French, tracks. I removed them manually from Last.fm but now on Deezer my history and recommendations are skewed because of this. One problem is: how the heck did those songs end up in my playlist and secondly, it is even more concerning that I cannot even can get rid of these songs. I changed all my passwords and removed all external apps that might have had access to Deezer in the meantime. And until now my history is showing my own listening history. Hoping it stays that way or I will doubt badly how secure Deezer actually is.

Really wish the app has this, like youtube were you can clear both search and watch history…well, I don’t think they will get rid of that (or maybe they will, who knows...)

Song History without option Delete selected is not good. Sometimes new songs are auditioned, and it would be nice if it was possible to remove them so that they are not taken into consideration for generating FLOW and My Mix

I second this. Frequently I search for songs to explore new sounds and I skip many of these songs until I find something interesting. Even considering that I only check as favorite the songs that I really enjoy, my searches and history still interfere on Deezer recommendations. I would like to be able to completely get rid of this. And even better than that: After implementing this feature, Deezer should bring an anonymous mode, as the web browsers do. Having both features would be perfect. I hope they listen to us here, since this topic is 4 years old.
