Imagine if we could create a collection of albums, like a pile of CDs. I would create a collection with my favourite electronic albums and other collection with my favourite progressive rock. And I wish we could play through in random, in order or like one song of each album (randomly)…
Or the same idea of collections, but for artists. A collection of my favourite artists from the 70’s…

Or actually there was an idea about tagging instead of playlists too, that could also be applied to albums etc.
Maybe for a playlist, you could change the view to track, album or artist? You’d still add tracks, but if you switch to album view you can open the whole album, and if you switch to artist view you open the whole artist. And if you Shuffle Play, it does so based on the view, not just the tracks.
Yeah, I like it! A very novel and unique idea.
Maybe even get the images of the CD spine and scroll through them instead of just text to go back to the visual beauty of albums more. Though that might not be practical (they wouldn’t look great on a phone, being so wide, but maybe with some editing...).
