Album art return feature

When you have the the album art cover menu open while playing your song, there is a return feature by which you swipe down from above the album art cover image to return to the previous screen.

In the old version you could swipe down from anywhere on the album art image and it would return you to the previous screen.

My thinking is that perhaps people were trying to swipe across to the next song and were accidentally returning to the previous screen, and maybe that was why the feature was removed.

I just want to make the case that the interaction with the app went smoother with the previous version as it is not possible to reach my thumb up above the album art to swipe down. This means that the return button in the bottom right of the screen (samsung s20) is how i return to the previous screen.

It just doesn't feel as smooth as before as a swipe is quicker than a button press.

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same experience.
