Understandably, as it is now - we have two ways to share a Family Subscription - Individual Accounts and Profiles.
Profiles is what most would use for their children often below the age of 13 - 18 years (depending on jurisdiction).
The problem:
There exists no protection when switching between profiles and some cases some profiles have restrictions such as limiting explicit content.
Sometimes too, a user could mistakenly (or deliberately) log in into another person’s profile and end up messing up their recommendations and overall music experience.
The idea:
- Introduce PIN Codes: after logging in with an email and password, when choosing profiles, a user would enter say 4-digit code/pin before having access to a certain profile.
- Admin Profiles Settings Override: If the admin sets say user A as a kid profile or denies explicit recommendations - this setting should override what user A will do to their settings when they log in (with a PIN 😉).
