Introduce PIN Code and persisting protection to Deezer Profiles

Understandably, as it is now - we have two ways to share a Family Subscription - Individual Accounts and Profiles.

Profiles is what most would use for their children often below  the age of 13 - 18 years (depending on jurisdiction).

The problem:

There exists no protection when switching between profiles and some cases some profiles have restrictions such as limiting explicit content.

Sometimes too, a user could mistakenly (or deliberately) log in into another person’s profile and end up messing up their recommendations and overall music experience.

The idea:

  1. Introduce PIN Codes: after logging in with an email and password, when choosing profiles, a user would enter say 4-digit code/pin before having access to a certain profile.
  2. Admin Profiles Settings Override: If the admin sets say user A as a kid profile or denies explicit recommendations - this setting should override what user A will do to their settings when they log in (with a PIN 😉).

more than a year has passed and no update what is the status of this feature, because the whole kids account is design by someone without kids I think. How can you make this without a pin or lock!?

THIS. Come on guys me and a crowd of other parents would crawl over broken glass to pay you $20/mo for a family plan once this is fixed.

I don’t get it: it’s not exactly rocket science 😣

Yeah, I was gonna switch to Deezer from Spotify just so that a kid can use it. But missing this feature it is a no-go. Sad, because Deezer has potential to actually fill the niche in market, as other music platforms are very not suitable for kids (their filters and parental control is a joke).
