So something that not just Deezer does weird is listing of what an artist has recently made. So when I browse to an artist page, it shows me discography, top songs, similar artists, playlists and biography. On the page itself we see top songs, latest release, albums, songs and playlists, similar artists on the side.
My gripe is with the songs list. Its way too low on the page. And for some artists, like Armin van Buuren, its pretty much impossible to browse there. He has 1000 podcasts shown in his albums list, that we can't really browse before reaching his latest songs.
So why does it not offer a special page with his songs? One that I can browse by a-z, release or most played? Or some page navigation to have me jump there at least? I mean, there's plenty of space anyways.
Something I'd also like to see separated out is what an artist has made alone, what collaborations he has done, what remixes of other songs that have been created and separate the podcasts from the albums.
So for this Armin guy, I have no idea what his latest album of produced songs are, because its just in the podcast mix somewhere. The latest release is also showing his podcast, so no idea what is new there.
So what would be the usecase? Often I'm just looking for new songs to add to my personal playlists and it seems impossible to get some recent songs of an artist that I like that I may have missed in the past month or so. So when I want to look at whats new, its pretty hard. Same for an artist I haven't heard of before. I might like his popular song, but I wanna see what he/she has made as well. Perhaps a remix that I liked to see if there are more remixes of this artist from another artist (so song x by artist y is remixed by z and I wanna know if there are more combinations of y and z).
Doesn't seem like a weird suggestion to me and its weird that none of the major players seem to offer this feature.
