Make shuffle truly random (or at least give us the option)

Deezer shuffle mode does not really play songs in a playlist in a random order. In playlists I have songs that are never player, and songs that are played every time. So somehow songs get weighted and the playback follows some kind of heuristic or pattern.

Whilst this may be ok for some people, my guess is that most people don’t wan’t to hear the same songs over and over again but all songs in their playlist with the same probability and truly random distribution.

So in my opinion you should at least provide us users the option to choose between those two shuffle modes.

Years later, can I please listen to a truly random mix of my music?

I'm a little angry about it not existing yet: I feel like your "forced" algorythms exists so than you can force people to listen specific "pushed" tunes and selling this to major labels.

I have selected tunes and artists I love: I want to listen this in a true random mix.

Yeah, I said goodbye to Deezer also (but not only) because of this.

Disheartening to see this thread given that this was one of the things I despised about Spotify (been both testing out Deezer and cruising this forum for only a few days so far). I guess the streaming business model ultimately manifests in issues for the user like this since there are likely financial incentives not to have a true random.
