Will the album limit of 2000 be raised in the future?
last week I reached the limit and I personally use the albums overview as a kind of database for me.

Would be great if the limit will be resolved...

thanks & regards

Hi, it's 1000 on the phone and 2000 on computer. 🙂 We have already passed this feedback to our devs and I'm sure they will look into it 😉

This was already increased a while ago. What is the version of your deezer and what is your device?

HI Raphael, I have this issue on version 7.11.0.6 of Deezer app on IOS, iPhone SE 128G. I cannot go over 999 albums saved, when I add one, it doesn't appear. Cleanup would take time
We have never been aware of this limitation? Is it written in the CGV?
It is a limitation compared to other apps.

Do you actually have a release date on IOS?

Hi @lebuff.com the limit has not been raised for albums I am afraid, we also don't know when this will be done. We are happy to pass your feedback though 😉

It has been over an year since this issue has raised. My guess is that it will never get fixed unless users will start ditching Deezer for alternatives. There is no such limit in Spotify or Tidal. My music library at home consist of over 30,000 album artists. This limit is a real deal breaker for me.

Hey @Eli.Barbie

Thank you for feeding this back to us. I'm sorry this hasn't been developed yet. There are no updates on the subject at the moment, but I'll let the right team know 👍🏼

This limit really sucks. We need 5,000 songs at the very minimum.

I really hope that Deezer will increase the album limit in the near future, because as the days and years go by, more and more albums will be released and some of these will be added to our collection in the future, so having this 1,000 album limit really diminishes the flexibility we have in each subscribers respective libraries. Many subscribers like me for example have extensive music libraries in which I save a lot of albums, both classic ones and new ones. So having this album limit really doesn’t allow me to expand my library with new music. I hope that this will be the focus of the developers soon.

Actually I can still add albums, although I am at 2k already, so I wonder what is going on. Maybe my oldest added albums get silently removed? That would not be good indeed, I would rather prefer an “Epic collection, my friend” message in this case.

OK, I have just checked my albums again and sorted them by “recently added”. The shown ones are all older additions, so I guess the red heart for new additions is a lier. :astonished:

@bluezzbastardzz@Rudi  Any new developments on this? I’m listening to more music these days due to working at home during the pandemic and keep discovering new artists and albums.   I’ve also reached the 2000 limit on the PC and not sure that my latest additions were actually saved. I used the red heart to favorite them but can’t seem to find the albums in my collection and I don’t remember the exact name of them anymore but they were really good. :joy:  I tried to track them down using the “recent listening history” list but couldn’t find them. How far back does the recent history list go?  Is it based solely on the number of songs played or some other criteria such as how much time has gone by?  I tried to find the two albums that I had saved the previous day but they weren’t shown in the recent listening history list. :sob:

Increasing the limit is something we're working on for a while now @groover we can't wait to have more details to share on this either!

The listening history should cover playlists, albums, mixes, not just single tracks but more where they were. So you should see the album unless you have listened to more than 11 items (on mobile) :thumbsup_tone2:

@Rudi I was listening on my PC but have been listening to a lot of different albums and definitely more than 11 items. Is there a limit of how far back/how many items  the history goes on the PC? Maybe I need to refresh the listening history too or just not get lost in a sea of new artists and music in the first place. ;-)
