Why does my recently played keep moving?

The recently played section keeps randomly moving from the home page to the favorites page.

Sometimes I open the app and it's there, and sometimes I have to find it. Honestly, it's a lot more convenient to just have on the main page, so I can just go back to what I was listening to instead of digging through menus. But I can't find anything in the app settings to bring it back to the home page. It doesn't seem dependent on the app getting updated either, I'm just beholden to it's digital whims on whether or not it shows up.

The continue streaming isn't useful as it's just artists in my library, I haven't listened to any of the artists shown there in over a year so I'm not sure why it's even being recommended.

Has anyone else run into this?

I noticed on the desktop app it's moved too.

I can’t be sure that I have the same issues, because I didn’t noticed it before.

The “Continue streaming” section is fine by me. I’ve got the most recent artists where I listened to.

Hello  @Burningcircuits thanks for raising this concern and @awesomemac thanks for your help.

Indeed the concept of “Continue Streaming” and “Recently played” are different, but I agree that sometimes content might be similar

“Continue Streaming” is picking up content, artist, playlist that you have listen in the past and pushing them to the front page, while “recent played” shows exactly the recent content played by the user.

@Leonídia.Deezer Ah, thank you for responding! Yes, and it's only a minor inconvenience when it happens, but I personally prefer to have exactly what I was listening to last over a general selection of stuff I've liked when I open up the app. To each their of course, but for me I wish there was a way of keeping recently played pinned to the main home page. Funny enough, it's been staying on the main page since I've posted this, but it randomly decides to move around so who knows? Hahaha

I'm on Android v 8.0.0.78 and can't find "recently played" at all now 😞

The whole UI is getting way too fussy for me these days, with so many features & options I will never use, and basic stuff like this missing, or too hard to find.

I really want  "recently played" or "history" access on the home page or even combined with the now playing screen so I can scroll backwards as well as seeing what awaits in continue streaming.

Must be nice, I don’t as is evidenced by my screenshots. Seems like there might be some A/B testing going on on the back end if you’re still seeing your most recently played. Mine doesn’t show any artists I’ve listened to recently nor is there a recently played section under favorites anymore on my app. According to Deezer’s own documentation here, I have to open the app, go to favorites, scroll down to playlists, hit view all, sort it by A-Z, then scroll down to just heard. Which is a lot of steps to just go back to what I was listening to.

Up until last week, recently played was just at the top of the favorites tab in the app and even my Continue Streaming had all of the past albums/artists I had actually just listened to. Now it’s back to looking like it did when I first posted. New UI looks great, just wish all the functionality remained.

It is what it is until they decide to fix it.

Agreed. Having Recently Played at the top when you open the app seems like such a common sense thing to have, not sure why it keeps moving or disappearing. Glad to know I’m not the only one :)

Can you advise as to why it keeps moving/disappearing for some users? Seems like it might be a known issue at this point, but if not, it’s probably worth looking into.
