Why Can't I Just Listen to the Band I Want?

Why is your service so damn opinionated?  I’ll start a mix from a band, hear like two songs from that band … and then all I get from Deezer for the next 50 songs is random bands I don’t want to hear!

I don’t want to hear 100% of  the band I picked either: I do want some mix of other music.  But the way Deezer does it, it’s all or nothing: either I play a band playlist, or there’s absolutely no way to hear that band in my radio (after the first two songs).

Hi Jeremy Walker !

Do you use launch track mix?
If you do ,here is explanation :
Launching a mix inspired by a track you love is the perfect way to discover new artists and songs that you've probably never listened to; step out of your comfort zone and discover a new musical horizon! When you launch a mix inspired by any track, we ensure that the next song will have a similar style and feel, but we also make sure most of these songs are brand new to you!

Directly from the Music ♫ tab, in the Mixes inspired by section, we will regularly suggest mixes inspired by the tracks you've recently been streaming; it's essentially a gateway to new discoveries!

Tip: If you don't want to listen to as many new songs, Flow might be the option for you. Learn more here

There are a couple of ways to get these mixes going, as detailed below.

How to launch a mix inspired by a song

  1. Within the Music ♫ tab, under Mixes inspired by, select a song.

Tip: The songs within the Mixes inspired by section will refresh regularly. They are taken from your Favorite tracks and the tracks you've been streaming recently

Alternatively:

  1. Search for a song
  2. Select the song from the Tracks (or Top Result) section of the results page. At this point the mix will be started and similar songs to the chosen track will follow

None of that helps then fact that when I listen to Deezer, I get the music I want for two songs, and then I get a whole bunch of crap I don’t want for the rest of the mix.

I want to listen to *my* music: either a specific band I picked, and songs like it, or just the songs and bands I’ve liked in general.  The *only* mix, on your entire music service, that even works remotely like that is the “Flow” station … but I have no way to control it (eg. it sticks to a single genre).

There’s literally no way to listen to Deezer where I can hear a rock song I like, then a rap song I like, then a Deezer recommendation, then another song I like, and so on.  There’s also no way to just hear a band I like, then another song from that band, then a Deezer recommendation or two, then another song from that band.

Overall, Deezer is all about forcing music I don’t want on me, 95+% of the time,  in every station … so I’m going back to Youtube Music 😢

Then you can make your own playlist ,and there will be music which you like .Only need some effort for find songs you wanna listen .
For specific band you like you can click on name of band and Deezer will find you all songs of that performer.Even you can find whole dicography and pick up songs and put them on your playlist .

Again, that’s not what I want.  What I want (and a lot of other people too I’d imagine) is a radio station that plays roughly 1/3 songs I’ve liked (or the band that I based the station off), 1/3 other songs by those bands that I haven’t liked, 1/3 new songs Deezer recommends.

Deezer’s only option is maybe 10% what I liked, 20% other songs by those bands, and 70% what Deezer thinks I should listen to.
