shuffle isn't RANDOM... it always repeats a pattern of songs

Shuffling playlists for me it actually works well, yay!

Flow and daily works, yay!

Trackmixes is where the problem is.

I do feel the same, like FLOW shuffle is a bit lousy, it often plays too much tracks I already like.

Yeah, but the good thing is that it's actually fine-tuning for your taste @hpguru

Yes, I did try to try that but it kinda didn’t give me any choices that made sense.

Anyway, I’ve cancelled my annual Premium subscription. I might check in again in a year or so. But today was the end for me; virtually every 4th or 5th song was R.E.M. I like R.E.M. - quite a lot - but it makes zero sense that a shuffle algorithm can throw up one artist out of 200 20% of the time. Seems a bit sus to me.

If you were using the Shuffle My Music option in your favourites, this counts everything except artists (playlists, albums, tracks). Thanks to your feedback our teams are discussing different approaches to this 

Do you mean that Shuffle does not refer to any artists I’ve favourite-d when playing and only looks at playlists and favourite-d albums and tracks?

If you're referring to the Shuffle My Music button option, yes. That does not include artists who have been favourited in your library

OF COURSE, shuffling music should include the artists you’ve added to your favourites. That is bleeding obvious.

Hi there, it’s a music service, not the key to ending world hunger. Keep some perspective, relax and perhaps be a bit more polite. Everyone at Deezer is working super hard to please us.

I’ve only been a member for 5 months and all I can say is: good luck getting Apple or Spotify to listen to individual users and implement their feature requests and improvements.

It shuffles all tracks basically, not artists. You see, you can favourite an artist but not like all tracks - they can be recommended to you via Flow or mixes, then you can tell the app if you want to favourite them or not.

But Shuffle My Music is different, it's the specific tracks you marked as favourites.
