Notifications from artists I did not like?

Why did I just get a bunch of notifications from artists I did not like? I though the whole point of liking an artist is that you can stay up to date on their stuff, why am I seeing artists I don’t really listen to (or have never listened to) give notifications for songs I wouldn’t want to listen to?

Hello there everyone, sorry for the late reply. 

So notifications for new releases are not ONLY from artist you like, you will receive this notification if you are/have:

  • part of a fan segment of the artist
  • favored at least one item of the artist
  • favored the artist

The option to turn the algorithm off is not available on the Deezer app.
Nevertheless, you can turn your information in as an idea here on the Community and wait if your suggestion gets votes on it.

So, the only way to get notifications back to normal is to make an official suggestion? That sounds backwards and unnecessarily complicated...
