How do I change the date format to dd/mm/yyyy in the desktop application?

When using the desktop app, all dates appear in american format, however I am not in America. How do I change the date format to dd/mm/yyyy?

All I can find is a “Country Selector” which I have set to Australia, but this has not effect.

I think it has to do with the language selection. Go to Account settings and change the language.

I see that there is a difference in the display of dates (on albums) between English and English US .
