How/where can I deactivate email infroming me about new sign-ins on my account? There are a lot of notification types in settings https://www.deezer.com/account/notifications but not this specific one.

Curiously, almost all of available notifications are activated but I never recieve any. No recommendations, no fresh tracks or news..

Hello @AmStr

That email can not be deactivated because it is a security email.

Please change the password of your account!

Great! Another foolish feature which cannot be deactivated. How does it relate to security? And why should I change my password?

Hello there @AmStr

If your account is compromised by an unauthorized user signing in, you would certainly want to be made aware of it.

The inconvenience you apparently feel receiving this email is undoubtedly outweighed by the benefit of being made aware of a potential breach.

The reason @Yula recommended changing your password is that if these sign-ins are unauthorized, someone has accessed your account without permission. If you are aware of these sign-ins, then clearly there is no need to change your password.

Why deezer decides what is better for me? There is no benefit for me at all. I don’t care whether my account is compromised or not. I just don’t want to receive these emails. You certainly have many accounts on different platform. How many of them send you emails when you log in?

@AmStr

Deezer will most likely not disable this notification email.

You can easily create a rule in your mail program, like this:

If sender = securyteam@deezer.com
and subject = Did you just sign in?
then mark it as read and move it to the trash.
