[FEEDBACK] "Add to playlist" only sorting playlists by last updated is a big step back

The Deezer Android app recently updated so that the only sorting order for playlists when adding a song is “playlists that have been edited or added to most recently.” I'm not sure who asked for the removal of alphabetical sorting, but it's a huge step back for those of us with playlists that we listen to infrequently. Now, instead of simply scrolling down a list sorted by playlist name, now we have no idea where exactly a playlist is located in the list, erasing muscle memory.

There's no user-friendly reason to remove an existing sorting option, so the sorting options from the normal playlist section need to be added. There's even a big space in the new menu for a sorting button to be added, as this image shows.

I'm glad they fixed the regression (and even improved the experience of adding songs to playlists), but yes, the Deezer team could have easily earned goodwill by waiting until the current “add to playlist” menu was fully working rather than going “1 step forward, 1 step backward, 2 steps forward” by launching an incomplete feature.

Oh well, at least they listened to feedback.

It is just mind-boggling what is with this company they have programmers who obviously don't use the service or certainly don't use it the way an audio file would they will end up fixing this just like they ended up fixing things when they removed the ability to shuffle all our playlists the single best feature of any streaming service out there which these idiot programmers removed... I have a CRM program that gives me the contact information for the CEO of all companies I have the contact information for the CEO of this company who lives in Paris I'm just going to email this guy directly just unbelievable I've got 330 playlist and I'm just scrolling randomly for days on end to figure out where to add a f****** song what the f***! Why don't they just have focus groups for this stuff and if they do who the hell is running these focus groups!

I have to agree...

Having a feature that's display a ➕ or ☑️ is very useful, similar to what Spotify does, because it prevents double entry, allow us to remove from a playlist later on if we made a mistake etc.

Edit : it's not even that.. It just allow us to add the song to multiple playlists in one go 🤡

But the fact it's only sorted by "latest added to" and no longer "A to Z" is one hell of a step back. Do you guys even test the app before launching? Doubt. If you did you'd have noticed that if you have more than 10 playlist, this system is SHIT. No other words. It's so impossible to find a playlist… it was already hard before, we had to place "tags" by using a specific word to sort our playlists and find them easily, as you won't provide a tag or folder system, but now?? Even this is useless…

Let us have at least a search bar, a tag / folder system or the ability to swap from "latest added to" to any other way (pref alphabetical) ASAP cause as for now it's simply not possible to use. Just came from Spotify, that's a very cold shower, honestly can make me quite all together (I have over 50 playlists)

The default / former view is still available when you add a playlist to another one.. Please put it back everywhere... Why would you put 2 different ways of finding playlists in your app?? Make a standard!

I’m freaking out every time I have to scroll and try to find the right playlist from like a hundred. And someone’s thought this change was a good idea...

I remade a thread on this topic since support clearly seems to be ignoring the problem. I just cannot understand why they would so something so braindead.
