I would imagine being just as infuriated as you if this were to occur on the iOS app as well. Hopefully they decide to revert this nonsense change.
100% agree I have been so bothered by this change. It makes everything takes much longer than it needs. I don't understand why they would change something that worked just fine.
Fully agree. What on earth watered these app developers thinking??? Not being able to listen to music In the way we want to? I'll not be a paying customer if this feature doesn't return

Fully agree, I like albums and artists. Not playlists or favorite tracks. Made the download section practically unusable. Imagine a library with all the books just stacked on the shelves in random order. You get me?
I can't believe that a removal of a feature is considered an improvement. I use this feature daily. Why are they building a product like this? So angry.
The A-Z sorting is back already, just make sure to update your Deezer app to the latest version.

@Jaime.Deezer it is indeed back within playlists, but not for the Downloaded Music tab! At least, I've observed no change, and my app is updated to the latest version.
I agree with judebarnes. My app is up to date and the search function is not in the Downloads section and the search function isn't there either. To make things worse, the order seems completely random, so the only way to find an album is to scroll through the whole list of downloads.
I’ve just checked and confirm there is no sort feature showing in the downloads page, and no update available in the Google Play store.

Totally agree with all the comments under the first post. I use an iPhone, and have a lot of downloaded albums. Predominantly as I prefer to listen to HiFidelity music (which is why I use Deezer) and download when on wifi.
The fact that you cannot sort, or search your downloaded music, is a major major regression in the latest update.
And worse still, it takes a lot longer now when you select Downloaded music, for your downloaded music to appear. Initially I thought it was an issue with my mobile data, but no, it is the same on hi speed wifi.
To be honest, if Deezer can’t find a solution for this I have to start looking for another streaming service.
I wholeheartedly agree with the comments here. The changes made to the Download tab represent a massive regression.
I'm a lorry driver and usually spend several hours a day in rural areas with poor network coverage. I have hundreds of albums downloaded in HiFi quality and stream them all day every day. Being able to sort them by most recently downloaded and alphabetically by album title or artist made it really easy to find what I wanted to listen to.
Another feature that disappeared on the recent update was the album artwork for the eight most recently downloaded albums being shown at the top of the download tab. I'm constantly downloading new albums and having them shown at the top of the tab was a very useful feature.
I've been a Deezer Premium subscriber for years and have never subscribed to any other streaming service. If Deezer don't reinstate all of the Download Tab's previous functionality I shall have to find another streaming service that offers what I want. Your move Deezer!
I never cease to be amazed at how dumb app development can be.
Let's improve things by removing functionality adding to customer frustration.

Seems I’m not the only one missing the sort option in downloads. Also the search seems to have disappeared from downloaded albums. Combined this makes it hugely annoying to find anything in my downloaded music.
Also the download suggestions on top don’t add any value, please remove this “feature” and re-instate search and sorting. Showing the last downloaded albums also was appreciated, might want to bring that back as well.
Latest changes to downloads were a major step back in functionalities
It's really sad to see absolutely no action or response from Deezer on this. There was an app update yesterday and I had hoped for sorting to be back for downloads, but no luck.
I appreciate the desire to innovate and bring in new customers, but I have to wonder how many customers are going elsewhere because of the bizarre choices of changes in functionality. For those of us who were attracted to Deezer because of high quality FLAC files and who listen to downloaded albums, using the service has become so frustrating. As mentioned above, trying to find an album among hundreds, which are in a completely random order, is not practical, especially when on the move (when downloads are usually needed). If I were not tied in on a yearly contract, I would be heading elsewhere. I imagine I will be when my term is up.
Agreed. Attempts to communicate on this issue are seemingly ignored by Deezer even though quite a few of us have voiced our concerns. I truly don't understand nor appreciate how it's going… Will probably leave the app as well.
I don’t want to discourage anyone, but the last time they screwed up the downloads section with a new “feature”, it took them 6 months to roll back the old functionality (see link below). Let’s see if they can fix it/roll back to a functioning version inc sort and search option quicker this time, but I won’t be holding my breath or can @Jaime.Deezer prove me wrong?
