API Auth impossible

Hello,

I recently switched from spotify to deezer and used a platform (tunemymusic) to transfer my playlistls.
The problem being that the transfer app did not add it in the proper order, instead of doing a first in first out (the oldest musics are the first to get in the deezer playlist) they do a last in first out. Because of this i wanted to write a very simple python script to be able to sort everything properly (unliking everything and reliking everything but in the proper order) so that when i like new musics it gets after the latest musics i had. 

Now the problem is that from what i saw online deezer API is (?) no longer maintained and therefore it is (?) the reason that it is not possible to create an app anymore (which is necessarey to get Oauth & then be able to do actions on the playlist).

So, my question is, is there a workaround to this or is the only way to build around deezer to scrap ?

Deezer API was disabled for the time being so the team would be able to do some improvements there it is not possible to use it as of right now .

Okay thanks, i couldn’t find any “official” information, just some random posts on reddit saying that the api was down “for good”

Not for good . It will probably be up once deezer will do what is needed from their side

Wow this suchs so much. I want to switch from Spotify to Deezer but this is noch possible without taking my music with me. This Post is a month old and it’s still not possible to use the service? what a shame 😓

Hi,

is there any update on this?

I’m trying to switch to Deezer but I need to know if I can recreate my playlists and I need the API for that.

Is there any official explanation for not providing an API? Any timeline on when the API will be accessible again? This is highly unusual, I’d  just like to know what’s going on.

​@gartenzaunmitzwischenraum Too many abuses and misappropriations of the possibilities offered by our API, contrary to our Terms & Conditions and our agreements with the right holders, have unfortunately led us to disable the possibility of creating new accesses enabling the use of our API by private individuals.
Our teams are working on new ways of ensuring that our services are used properly, which will enable us to reconsider the conditions of access.

​@Jaime.Deezer Thanks for the explanation. Our app has also not been working with Deezer for the past few weeks, while I can see some other external apps are working. We specifically use the Deezer API to transfer playlist data from our own catalog management system to Deezer and have been for the last 10+ years.

ATLAST is one of the biggest curators on Deezer, worldwide, so having the API access restored is an absolute priority for us. Is there anywhere where we can apply for a whitelist while you figure out everything you mentioned above on your side? It seems to be possible for some other apps.

Please DM me so we can look at a solution. Appreciate the support.
