Am I using the algorithm wrong (New releases)?

The songs in “New releases” for me are generally badly recommended. The first couple of songs are always new releases of things I actually listen to, but then it quickly detirorates into a mess of songs I would never listen to.

At first I thought I had to give the algorithm a bit of time to learn what I like and therefore I started the habit of going through “New releases” each week and for all songs I dislike I clicked “Don’t reccomend this track”. I thought with this and me listening to my playlists the “New releases” should improve over time, but now half a year in most of the songs in “New releases” still don’t have nothing to do with my taste.

Now to why I might feed the algorithm wrong. As I mentioned I go through the list and click “Don’t reccomend this track” but I rarely ever Like a song as when I was still using Spotify I incorporated the behavior of only adding a song to the “Favourite Tracks” list if for me it is a 9 or 10 out of 10. This worked great on Spotify, but now my queston, does the Deezer recommendation algorithm heavily relie on the “Favourite Tracks” playlist?
