Hello,

 

The artist page for “Aquario” is a hodge-podge of different artists. It's very messy.

I've tried to break down the mess here, but I probably didn't get everything:

 

ALBUMS

The album “Primeiro” is by a Brazilian instrumental trio, and it's their only album.

“It's What It's” seems to be a homemade indie band.

“Voyages” and “Instrumental Voyages” are electronic music.

 

EPs

All three EPs in the page seem to be by an artist called Bass Pimp (?)

 

SINGLES

“Sono ancora qua” and “APOCALISSE” seem to be the same artist, an Italian producer. “Lacrima” might be this artist too.

Then there's 4-5 songs by a singer in a green long shirt,

And finally at least three different electronic music producers, who might or might not be the same one(s) as the albums and EPs.

Hi deezer,

I am an artist called BACKYARDS, I released my debut album 02/07/2023. When I looked for the posting of it on this site I saw that it was listed under a different artist’s profile, along with music that I did not write. I attempted to claim an artist profile, but could not find myself when I searched. I came to the conclusion that since this was my first album under this name (BACKYARDS) that the two artist profiles were assumed to be the same. I assure you they are not. If there is anything that could be done to resolve this I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, I’m not sure where this fits as the artists aren’t technically on the wrong page, but can someone at Deezer confirm whether work is being done to improve the intelligence of playlist generation? I have stopped listening to new releases playlist because the algorithm cannot tell the difference between a band that I’ve liked, and another with the same name. At the very least, surely a check as to whether it is the actual band I’ve liked is pretty basic, rather than what seems to be a basic name search?

 

This is very frustrating as the genres are not related, and these are massive examples that will presumably be hitting a large number of people and leaving a bad impression regarding Deezer’s playlist generation.

The band’s name is The Hoods, but there are other bands with the same name and, for some reason, Deezer connected my album (titled Throwback) with the profile of a different band with the same name. Sisyphus has only 2 albums according to Wikipedia and Spotify - Beak & Claw, and Sisyphus. All other releases sound nothing like the band, and I highly suspect are tracks by other artists.

I spent quite some time copying pasting over incorrect albums etc for Lush (https://deezer.page.link/RjiXabaqixwBXyk5A) and then got a message my post would need admin approval before posting.

Please change the profile picture of BTS.

It used to be a concept photo for his album "Proof," but now he uses a photo taken with the members before he went to military service.

I don't understand why this picture can be a profile picture. Please restore it or use another official photo.

Thanks for looking at BT and cleaning the page up, although the Singles section has a lot of issues. 

As a rule of thumb, the artist linked works with the following record labels:

  • Black Hole Recordings
  • Armada Music 
  • Enhanced Music 
  • Anjunabeats
  • BT (self released)
  • Warner, EA, Columbia Pictures (OSTs)
  • Binary Acoustics
  • Songbird

Most of these are large record labels. Anything that falls outside of these is likely a different artist.

In the Android app, Steel Prophet does not have the discography section. To get to their albums, you have to find a track in the top tracks and use its menu to go to the album page.

I recently uploaded two tracks to your site.

 

My Artist Name is Mono No Aware however I have noticed there are already 2 artsits with similar names and my songs have been put under their names. I tried making my own page but i could not,.

 

The following ‘Mono No Aware’ Artist tracks actually belong to me: 

Bionic Man (Keep Loving), Calling My Name, Just How I Wanna Live, Eyes On Me and Moonlight.
