Please add Release date, old to new to Release date, which is new to old. Many newly released albums are just repackaged compilations. To listen to original recordings as recorded, one has to scroll all the way down.

Hey there @dgoorevitch

Can you please expand a bit on what you would like to see so we can understand better?

@Yula

open any artist with a long history. New albums are on the top, older albums down to the bottom. Now, imagine it is artist who died long ago, let’s take Elvis. In the list we see now dozen of album of the last decade like “Elvis 30 number one hits”, “40 greatest hit of Elvis”, “50 greatest hit of Elvis” and even “60 greatest hit of Elvis”. Obviously, these are NOT albums of Elvis, it’s just recompilations. So, to listen to a “real” Elvis’s album I have to scroll down all the list.

Like he said above, @Yula. That’s exactly right.

Hey @AmStr @dgoorevitch there is a way to see the release date for the artist’s albums, either on mobile, web or desktop app.
First you need to click on the artist name, and then in the next page you’ll be able to scroll down to “Discography” in order to see the release date for all the albums.
However you can only sort them from newer to older and as you mentioned it would be great to have both options.
I’ll pass the feedback to our devs and I hope we can offer it in future updates.

Thanks. I appreciate that, but:

  1. Seeing the release date was not my problem. I wonder why Deezer always seems to answer a question that was never asked.
  1. I don’t see the purpose of having compilations as the default. There are tons of them, all repeating the same tracks.
