So i was super excited yesterday because i noticed there was finally a “like” (heart) on my android lock screen.  This is probably the number one feature that i miss the most because it makes it super easy to curate my “liked” songs list- adding new ones and removing ones that got in by mistake without having to unlock my phone, open the app, etc.

Today, the button is gone :(   I’m using version 70.22.19 on and Google pixel 5).  Am i crazy?  I know it was there yesterday.  Is there a way to get it back?  I’ve restarted both the app and phone and it still doesn’t show.  It also doesn’t seem to matter what playlist i am listening to.

A little more detail, i think i figured out a sequence of events that will “enable” the like button.

  1. use google maps + driving mode (ie. navigate somewhere)
  2. play music with deezer
  3. tap on the music icon in google maps, suprise - there is now a like button on that screen!
  4. the like button is now also on the lockscreen
  5. restart the deezer app, no more like button on the lockscreen

So it seems this functionality is in there (maybe by default as part of the android media controls?) but its not always enabled.

Is there someplace to file a formal bug report?

Hello @mike cirioli,

Thank you for your feedback. Indeed the available actions does not seem to be reset when passing from the Android Auto usage to the Deezer mobile app usage. I report it and we will look into it.

Regarding the availability of like/unlike action on the lock screen, we hope to bring it this year as part of one of the improvements of the player.

Have a great day.

Its clear that the like button on the lock screen is possible, and can even be used today if you first activate navigation in google maps.  Is its appearance there a mistake/bug or what?

@Fabien Rayé is their a public facing roadmap by any chance?
