Hi,

 

Since a month i've got troubles with Deezer and MusicCast via the Yamaha RX-A4A over and over again. The problem is that after a song or 2 or 3 Deezer stops playing music, also searching in my favorites does not work. Besides that a lot of times "no music" or that i'm not logged in anymore. This is becoming very annoying. I've read several forum topics but none of them gives me an solution. The weird part is sometimes it works again for serval hours, but it is not a specific time or day you can pin point.

 

What i've tried:

- Removing the MusicCast app from my Android (version 14) phone and reinstall the app (tested multiple phones) (version 5.70)

- Resetting the Deezer password

- Factory reset Yamaha RX-A4A

- Restarting network modem and router

- Setup a static IP address in the router for the Yamaha

- Turning off battery management in the MusicCast app 

- Updating the Yamaha receiver with the latest firmware (2.03/3.14)

 

None of them did the trick.

 

Hope someone from support has an solution!

Having the same issue. Did all the same things you did! Contacted tech support. This happens every few weeks. This happens on both android and iPhone. Deezer plays fine in my car so it is definitely a musiccast deezer sync issue. I may have to switch streaming services If this doesn't get resolved soon. Its very frustrating to have to keep opening support tickets. As im typing this, it just stopped again.

And here we are, again not working. I've contacted also Yamaha support and they told me to go to an service center 100km away from where I live to look at the issue. I've told them this isn't a hardware issue but something between Deezer and MusicCast in my opinion. After that silence from support.


Just got off the phone with Yamaha. According to them Deezer, Tidal and Amazon were having issues since Monday. They say they opened up a ticket for me and will notify me when it is resolved. Very frustrating. I can play one song then i have to reboot app to play another.

Indeed, as I just mentioned in another thread here seems to exist some latency in the integration, resulting on longer periods of loading, error messages.

I was about to ask if the issue was happening on iOS and Android devices, but according to @Faethor_Ferenczy it occurs in both OS. 

So maybe I am not correct, but sounds like not device related but more on Musiccast or Deezer integration.

Shared all these inputs to our developers to see if we can investigate on our side or alternatively if we can raise an incident near Yamaha.

When I get some relevant updates, I will update you all.

Thank you for the response, I hope this will be fixed very soon. Today I've updated the MusicCast app to version 5.8 but didn't try it yet. Wil check this evening and let you know my findings.

Hi @Leonídia.Deezer , thanks for the feedback. It looks a lot more stable these last days besides some suddenly logged out sessions. Hope that the technical team will fix everything so we can enjoy careless nice music 😀

 

Can you keep us posted when issue has been solved by the technical team. Also it would be nice to share some information about what they have done to solve this issue. Would be highly appreciated!

same here - 10-30 seconds of play, then stops.
did not change anything in my set up. remember the issue from a couple of years back. definitely Musicast/Yamaha and Deezer issue.
also thinking of switching to something that works - tired.

getting worse… the question is: jump Deezer or jump Yamaha.

Unfortunately the problem with connecting to Deezer through Yamaha MusicCast and the Advantage A4A his back again. After trying to log out and in again, I can't even login anymore. ​@Leonídia.Deezer can you please take a look at this and let this problem be fixed again?

Same here, does not work since morning today


I am also having this problem with Deezer on Musiccast. Deezer works fine on the iPhone, but as of today on Deezer in Musiccast I get a login screen and an error message: “Access error, unable to register your system”. Deezer and Musiccast apps are current, as is the firmware in  my Yamaha receiver and speakers.


Same problem for me! Music stopped playing (flow, playlists etc) after a few songs. I logged out, logged it again, no change. Then I updated to latest music cast Android app v5.90 and from this moment on, it won't log in again (of course I'm providing the correct credentials!). It always gives:"Access error / Unable o register your system". So so frustrating! (RX-A2060, firmware 2.85)


Deezer has received feedback from many users for a long time now on these recurring issues (access errors cannot register your system). 

This has now been going on for about a year now and is apparently not solved by Deezer even though they claim to put resources in their team to fix the problem.

The question is how long perhaps tens of thousands of Yamaha users current/prospectively accept this. Competition is high among streaming providers today and the question is whether Deezer is interested in getting rid of all Yamaha subscribers.

At least I am about to look the other way.

Although its working very badly, latency is horrible


Almost everything works fine, but there is no possibility to add new truck to any of your fav list.

Can you do that on musiccast?
