Hi, I'm new to deezer from Spotify, am I being stupid or can androids not connect to Internet speakers like sonos or audio pro?

The speaker icon in the bottom left corner takes me to audio settings, where on my ios devices it brings up airplay devices and sonos devices etc, such as on Spotify with the same icon.

Can someone help with this? It's irritating only being able to connect via Bluetooth. I have a Samsung S21 Ultra so it's not like I have an old device. Much appreciated!

Hey Eoanmct98

On android this button links to the sound settings (I know, it’s a special icon).

Since SONOS also runs with Apple AirPlay, deezer can stream to this directly. On Android devices this is not possible. Deezer is currently developing a “Deezer Remote” (already in beta on iOS) where you can stream to other devices.

So we all have to wait for this feature.
Hope this answers your question :)

I’ve got a Yamaha system with MusicCast, as long as all the devices are on the same wifi network, you can use the built in Deezer app thats part of MusicCast.  The built in app is clunky, but does allow streaming over wifi.  But you’re correct to say that you can’t use the native app to stream via wifi.

It’s been a loooooong outstanding issue, disappointing that Deezer hasn’t given it the priority is deserves IMHO.
