Thanks for reaching out. At the moment this is set as intended behaviour. I'll pass the feedback to our devs so that your comments can add to the discussion around the development of this feature.

In the meantime, you can stop casting, shuffle your queue list and then cast again 

Thanks for the suggestion. I hope your devs can see how silly it seems to have to uncast, shuffle and recast vs just unhiding a button.

I'm currently on the trial hoping to move over from Spotify and the one issue that's stopping me is the poor Chromecast support.

I use it daily and it's jus clunky. The shuffle option is absent as mentioned, but also after playing a few songs from the playlist the Chromecast devices seem to have to reconnect and reload, causing the connection sound to come through my speakers.

Skipping music is slow and seems to reload the entire playlist again.

Please fix the shuffle/queue issue on chromecast. It should be a top priority. It ruins the experience. The same issue is on iOS too.

You definitely got a point here and this has been a demand for quite some time now. We don't have the concrete plans for Chromecast yet but I can assure you that our big focus for 2021 is to improve connectivity and these existent integrations 

Same issue here. I’ve been using Deezer for some months now and my main issue is the shuffle and cast feature. It doesn’t make sense to have to stop casting, then shuffle your playlist, and cast again.
