SD card causing loading issues

Hi, I have a galaxy A10E and I'm having issues with songs not loading. I've been using the app for years and had this SD card for years as well. This problem came out of nowhere. If I have my data storage set to use my SD card, nothing will play. When I set it back to my phones internal memory, everything loads just fine. I know my SD card is good, how can I fix this? I have seen other people have the same issue but no one offered a solution that worked.

This might not be the answer you’re looking for but if the problem just started have you tried rolling back the installed version of Deezer to a previous version? I’ve been a Deezer user for years and because SD card support has always been suspect and I have turned off automatic updates to avoid surprises. I figure that if it isn’t broke I shouldn’t touch it until I know I have time to mess with it if things go sideways. I’m also convinced that Deezer’s developers all use iPhones so fixing this isn’t a priority...

I’m currently on version 7.0.15.51 which I believe is the latest version and am not currently having SD card problems but my Galaxy S20 is much faster than your phone, and the speed of the phone seems to matter here. In my experience Deezer’s file database handling isn’t very efficient, and it appears that occasionally updates that haven’t been properly optimized might be just enough to break things. I’ve used both the Plex and Tidal apps on my phone with much larger offline databases, on the same SD card, and they run circles around Deezer.

It’s also possible that after years of use your SD card is starting to become flakey.Â
