Hey,

Iv been having problems playing songs over the last couple of weeks. When I try to play songs they dont load. I just get the loading message. This happens whether Im using WIfi, Data or even my downloaded songs. I cleared the cache, unistalled and reinsalled the app. I have found that the only way i can load songs (WIfi, Data and downloaded) is to change the storage from my SD card to my phone. So I assumed my SD card was broken. I purchased a new SD card changed my storage had the same issue. I even tried with another phone I own and had the same issue. I will add when changing my storage back to my Sd card I can download songs and it will work for about 10 to 20 songs then go back to loading issue. This is very frustrating please help me out

Hello @beekpres

We are sorry to hear about that 😅

As you mentioned you have a SD card in your device, can you please follow these few steps:

  1. Open the Deezer app ➡ Gearwheel in the top right corner ➡ Data & StorageDisk Usage ➡ click on the path link and change it to internal storage
  2. Stream a couple of tracks on Deezer

If it works, the issue is likely with the current SD card. I suggest that you insert a new or different SD card after uninstalling Deezer on your device. Don't worry your playlists and favourites won't be affected.

Once you inserted the new SD card, install the Deezer app again, log in to the app, and stream at least a couple of tracks. You can change the Deezer path back to the SD card,

Let us know how it goes, please :)

Thanks :)

What kind of SD card do you have (make and class)? I had this problem years ago when using a slow / cheap card. I now have UHS cards, probably class 3, in my devices and don't have this problem anymore. This is way overkill for an app like Deezer but they're only a few dollars more so I recommend spending the money.

Hey Alfredo,

Cheers for the prompt reply. I have tried your suggestions and I'm still having issues with playing tracks. I have tried with another brand new Sd card (this is the second brand new one I used) and having the same issues. I find once I download the tracks to my Sd card the Deezer Data and Smart Cache sections both stay at 0 MB. While the Available section changes declines as I download tracks, As in my screenshot. To be clear as well the only data on the SD card is Deezer downloaded songs.

The 3 different Sd cards I have used have all been checked through my PC and have found zero errors on the cards. The cards Iv used in my phone are as follows in the order I tried them

1 - Sandisk Ultra 128 GB, Class 10 (Used for 1 year when problem arose)

2 - Sandisk Extreme 512 GB V30, Class 3 (Brand New)

3 - Sandisk Extreme 32 GB V30, Class 3 (Brand new)

I have been having the same problem this entire month (August 2022). Tried all the basic steps of uninstalling, clearing cache, getting new SD cards, all of it.

From what I am seeing, the Deezer data isn't even going on the SD card at all and seems like the app is no longer compatible with SD cards (I've been using a SanDisk 32GB micro and a Samsung Evo Select 64GB microSDXC). It's been fine for a while on my SD card but whatever recent change was made to the program/app has removed the ability to listen to music if it is stored is on the SD.

I hope this gets fixed, because I don't have room in my internal memory for a couple thousand songs.

Edit: I've also downgraded all the way to the 6.22.01 version and it works when you boot up, but after about 4 songs or restarting the app, the problems return.

I have 7.0.9.22 and I can listen to playlists stored on my SD card when offline, but I cannot listen to Favourite Tracks saved to my SD card because it says I'm offline. This used to work but stopped a couple months ago. I don't know what version it stopped at though since I've disabled automatic updates. If it's your downloaded favourite tracks you're trying to listen to offline, try renaming the Favourite Tracks playlist to something else then see if it works. Because updates bork SD card playback so often I only update Deezer when I know I'll be around the house for a couple days to re-download everything. FWIW, I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 running Android version 12 and One UI version 4.1.

@Alfredo. Some more help please mate.

@Alfredo. Hey mate tried another sd card I was using in my go pro. Still the same problem. all other apps that I can store data on the sd card has no issue with reading. Some more help please

I am having this same exact issue. If I change the stored data to my phones memory everything plays fine. If I change back to the SD card it will work for a few minutes and then freeze up and nothing loads. Did you ever figure out a solution?

@shortnstoned I have not found a fix. Still have the problem too. @Alfredo. are you seeing me tagging you in this tread? Iv noticed it says my question has been answered but obvisouly it has not.
