Hello @beekpres
We are sorry to hear about that
As you mentioned you have a SD card in your device, can you please follow these few steps:
- Open the Deezer app Gearwheel in the top right corner Data & Storage Disk Usage click on the path link and change it to internal storage
- Stream a couple of tracks on Deezer
If it works, the issue is likely with the current SD card. I suggest that you insert a new or different SD card after uninstalling Deezer on your device. Don't worry your playlists and favourites won't be affected.
Once you inserted the new SD card, install the Deezer app again, log in to the app, and stream at least a couple of tracks. You can change the Deezer path back to the SD card,
Let us know how it goes, please :)
Thanks :)
What kind of SD card do you have (make and class)? I had this problem years ago when using a slow / cheap card. I now have UHS cards, probably class 3, in my devices and don't have this problem anymore. This is way overkill for an app like Deezer but they're only a few dollars more so I recommend spending the money.
I have been having the same problem this entire month (August 2022). Tried all the basic steps of uninstalling, clearing cache, getting new SD cards, all of it.
From what I am seeing, the Deezer data isn't even going on the SD card at all and seems like the app is no longer compatible with SD cards (I've been using a SanDisk 32GB micro and a Samsung Evo Select 64GB microSDXC). It's been fine for a while on my SD card but whatever recent change was made to the program/app has removed the ability to listen to music if it is stored is on the SD.
I hope this gets fixed, because I don't have room in my internal memory for a couple thousand songs.
Edit: I've also downgraded all the way to the 6.22.01 version and it works when you boot up, but after about 4 songs or restarting the app, the problems return.
I have 7.0.9.22 and I can listen to playlists stored on my SD card when offline, but I cannot listen to Favourite Tracks saved to my SD card because it says I'm offline. This used to work but stopped a couple months ago. I don't know what version it stopped at though since I've disabled automatic updates. If it's your downloaded favourite tracks you're trying to listen to offline, try renaming the Favourite Tracks playlist to something else then see if it works. Because updates bork SD card playback so often I only update Deezer when I know I'll be around the house for a couple days to re-download everything. FWIW, I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 running Android version 12 and One UI version 4.1.
@Alfredo. Some more help please mate.
@Alfredo. Hey mate tried another sd card I was using in my go pro. Still the same problem. all other apps that I can store data on the sd card has no issue with reading. Some more help please
I am having this same exact issue. If I change the stored data to my phones memory everything plays fine. If I change back to the SD card it will work for a few minutes and then freeze up and nothing loads. Did you ever figure out a solution?
@shortnstoned I have not found a fix. Still have the problem too. @Alfredo. are you seeing me tagging you in this tread? Iv noticed it says my question has been answered but obvisouly it has not.
