Each time I lock my phone, the playlist I'm in (i.e., my favourites) refresh/ jumps to the top. This requires me to then, scroll down through roughly 2000 songs to get to the location I last stopped at before locking my screen. How can I fix this ???

Hi @Charlize, sorry to hear that you're having this kind of experience.
Have you tried reinstalling the app and clearing the cache? Also, have you rebooted your phone? These steps can often resolve common issues.

Additionally, if you could record a video showing the step-by-step process you're following, it would be very helpful in understanding the problem.


I'm having the same issue, i have deleted the app and cleared cache and still have the same issue. To be honest it's ruining my experience of using the app, if it isn't resolved i will prob switch to spotify.

I have the same issue. No Video, but I can give a hint to reproduce it. Open your loved tracks playlist, pick a song like in the middle, click on the "now playing" tab that shows the cover and then open the lyrics. After that, swipe back to the "loved tracks" list and you will see that it has jumped to the top and is no longer at the letter / band you were.

I will instead explain to you what i am doing. Open settings > apps > deezer > storage > clear cache.

Deleted app, re-installed and issue is the same. I have done this process in reverse, tried the process including resetting the phone.

If this issue has just started to occur for multiple users, it would indicate an issue with the coding for the app.

It's a great app, please fix though as it is getting very annoying.

I have this problem at the favorite songs playlist, which are 2078 tracks.

Some users that are experiencing this bug have more than 300 albums saved in the ‘Albums’ section, that’s why I was wondering if you were in the same situation; hopefully the bug will be fixed very soon 👌


I only have about 50 albums.

Has there been any progress on this issue ?

I understand it takes time, just asking :)

Today was an update for the Android App but the bug is still there. 


Same issue is still there, must have been for something else. Deezer admins, any word?


I’ve tried to reproduce your issue on my Android phone, but I wasn’t able to do this.

I’ve scrolled down, I’ve picked a song, started playing, went to the homescreen, locked my phone. And after a couple of minutes I went back in Deezer to the playlist and it was still at the same spot.

Cheers awesomemac, i'm using android 13 though so this might be the issue. To be honest i thought it would be a quick fix but it seems to be more complicated than expected.

Have you considered reinstalling the app and clearing the cache? Sometimes, these steps can resolve common issues.

Furthermore, rebooting your phone might also help.

This is a screen capture which shows the problem. After showing lyrics (it happens even without showing the lyrics but after that the bug is instantly) and going back to the Playlist, the playlist has jumped to the top and is no more at the last point (artist, whatever) it was before. 

 

Some bugs in the deezer app are there long times. Its offtopic, but when you stream via Bluetooth to (in my case) a Teufel boomster, everytime (!!!) I tab on another song, it wont play over the Bluetooth speaker but only in the App (you see that the song is playing, but you cant hear anything). To get the sound back you have to pause the track and wait some seconds and then click "play" or you go to the song before and click "next". Weird. This bug is around many years. 


Okay deezer admin, seriously we need more communication. I have not had the problems that are mentioned above. There seems to be serious issues with the coding that is being inplemented. I have no issue with playing music from a playlist other than 'favourites'. If i create a playlist and play a song, i can go to another app and come back to deezer, the playlist position has not changed but if i do this in playlist 'favourite songs' i have a problem of it going back to the start.

We are supporting the deezer company, at the beginning of this thread, deezer admins were responding, but now silence. I understand you guys are busy, but leaving us without reply for so long is not good enough. I am a little drunk writing this, so apologies if i am coming across as rude but the app experience is going to shit. I love this app and i recommend to everyone to change from spotify but you guys have to get the act together 🙏

I am questioning now if you even care, i can see 1 day ago 'Leonidia' who is deezer admin has responded with the same message from 6 weeks ago, this is ridiculous, sending us bot messages with instructions that we have already followed. Really not good enough 🤷‍♂️

Is this issue still being looked at, i have added a lot more music to my account, and it has now becoming a lot harder to enjoy the app and find songs.

I might be in Leonídia's bad books after my previous comment 😅

I didn't realise i had to forward anything on as I assumed that this issue was still being resolved. 

It seems that with older versions of android work fine with the app, but if this is the case the issue is only going to get worse for deezer. My phone is a samsung s20 so it is not even new and it is having problems. As more ppl update their phones, the problem is going to start interfering with more ppl.

Hopefully we can get an update on this, i understand from previous comments that the issue was identified by their tech team and that they have been working on the solution. 

That was a few months ago so surely there has been some progress.
