updated the app the other day and it hasn't improved the issue I was having before. I only have a few months left of my subscription so I'll probably just stop using it altogether. music is stopping randomly, always stops at the beginning of a new song, sometimes in the middle of songs. happens online, offline, streaming, downloaded, headphones, no headphones, nothing makes a difference. I'm on android 16 and shouldn't be having any issues. the app still works on my tablet, which is on android 14, but it's become totally unusable on my phone. is there anything I can do or do I just need to give up on using deezer?

Hi @wllmrrs !

Deezer stopping randomly on Android 16 is typically caused by strict battery optimization, aggressive cache allocation, or unstable network connections. Because Android 16 introduces stricter background management features, your system may be force-closing the app or killing its network access to save power.

Newer Android systems severely restrict background apps. To prevent Deezer from being put to sleep Disable Battery Optimization Change the setting from "Optimized" to Unrestricted .

If you are streaming and your music stops when the screen locks, your Data Saver might be cutting off Deezer's background internet access.
Ensure Allow background data usage and Allow data usage while Data saver is on are toggled ON.

Corrupted cache or insufficient local storage buffering can cause playback to stall.
Clear all cache. Adjust the Smart Cache slider to allocate more storage space for smoother playback.

If none of the above fixes the issue Re-download and install the latest Deezer app .
