Hello @EvelineDeezerUser,
This is most probably a default apps issue - which app opens what links or files.
- OPTION ONE: TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR PHONE SIDE
Given that you have android, I’ll assume you’re running the latest version of Deezer Stable release and latest Android updates (as per your device support):
- Go to your Phone Settings > Apps > Choose default apps > Opening links
- Make sure “Open links in apps” is turned ON.
- Scroll down until you find the following apps (Chrome, Google Play Store, Samsung Internet - or any other browser that came with your device)
- Select on each one of them and “Clear Defaults”
- Find Deezer on the list, under “Open supported links” change/set to “In this app”.
Once done, go to your browser of choice and type in deezer.com/link again and follow instructions, it should redirect you to your Deezer app with codes you can use.
If that doesn’t solve your issue, go again to Settings > Apps, this time scroll until you find the apps mentioned in step 3 above, select each one and go to Storage > Clear Data
Normally this should solve your issue and the option below is not necessary - just in case it doesn’t.
- OPTION TWO: TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR TV SIDE
If still this issue keeps happening, make sure you’re logged in to your Samsung account on your Smart TV (it’s necessary to ensure you do receive automatic updates for all your apps).
Now on your TV:
- Uninstall Deezer
- Press the Power Button on your remote for about 10 seconds, remote sensor on your TV will be flashing red, continue to hold until it stops flashing and lights red continuously then release. It should automatically reboot.
- Go to Apps
- Make sure you’re logged in to your Samsung account (see top right of the screen)
- Search for and install Deezer
- Log in to Deezer
Enjoy Deezer!
