Question

Is Deezer cheating on audio quality in Android Auto?

I have Hifi quality set for all connectivity options.

Whenever I start listening through Android Auto on the phone I see no Hifi badge on the track cover on the playback screen.

If I then skip the track with steering wheel buttons I still don't see the Hifi badge but if I skip with a phone (continuing android auto playback) Hifi badge appears.

Is this just a UI glitch with missing badge, or are not having Hifi in AA?

Hi @MichalG Deezer does not currently support HiFi (lossless FLAC) streaming on Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
If your car uses AAOS but you still want CD-quality lossless audio, you should bypass the car's native Deezer app. Instead, open the Deezer app on your phone, ensure High Fidelity (1411 kbps, FLAC) is enabled in your mobile settings, and connect your phone to the car using standard Android Auto or a wired auxiliary/USB connection if your car's hardware supports it.
I hope that helps.
Thanks :)
