Hi,

I'm new subscriber and I've experiences a few annoying things (using Android phone, with an up to date OS);

1) when I select and play an album (via Chromecast Audio) it don't stop after the last song but keep on playing different songs from the same artist (or something like that) in infinity. It doesn't make any sense. It's annoying.

2) and after a long time (maybe because the app soft-disconnect from Comcast), it suddenly, and somehow randomly, plays parts of different songs (just a few seconds), through the chromecast connected amplify. And I have to disconnect and reconnect the app, and start another song to make it stop. Super annoying!

3) I've also even experienced that the app, randomly, starts playing songs "in the middle of the night" through the phone speakers. Maybe because it's continuously playing "the next song", after the album I listened to earlier that evening. This probably happens when the app hard-disconnect from the chromecast. Really annoying when you try to sleep!

 

This is obviously one or more bugs.When are you planning to fix it?

Regarding your first point, indeed Deezer promote automated recommendations after playing the album, unless you activate option to repeat content.

For now there isn’t on mobile an option to turn off automated recommendations.

Second point, I tried to reproduce but without success. Same for point 3. I used Deezer for some time now on an Android phone, plus have a couple of them more for test purpose and music never started by himself playing on phone or in any linked device. What might be occurring is that player was never stopped when casting and somehow when the connection ends, it keeps playing on the phone speaker.

To assure this doesn't’ happen again, please try to stop playing music and casting when you finish hearing music.

For point 2, can you please try to record a video of the issue. Have you done any troubleshooting so far. Please describe what you have done. Thanks

Promoting and automatically playing the recommended tracks are two different things. My concerns are about the automatic playing, not the promoting.

Yes, that might be true, do to point 1.

 

To assure this doesn't’ happen again, please try to stop playing music and casting when you finish hearing music.

Normally I do, but sometimes others in the family just switch channel on the amplifier and no one notice that Deezer keeps on playing. 

 

For point 2, can you please try to record a video of the issue. Have you done any troubleshooting so far. Please describe what you have done. 

The chromecast audio device seems to be locked to Deezer. I called it “soft disconnected” since the chromecast icon in the app shows it is connected, but it is impossible to control the outcome. So the only option is to do a hard disconnect, reconnect, start a new song and then stop the new song, to make the app stop streaming music.
