deezer stop playing in the background

Since it all has been updated to new version, Deezer is no more playing in the background, need to keep the app open in the screen to allow to play, when trying to open another app and have Deezer running in background, it just stops playing after a few seconds. Tried checking all the settings within the app, no luck, checked app permissions etc. Nothing there, can someone please help here as it's becoming annoying now

What if you started using the current release instead of the beta? Did you try this before?

Many times, deleted and reinstalled the app as well, however no luck

Could you please check the battery settings of Deezer?

You can access this through the phone settings, than Apps, App Management, Deezer, Battery usage, Allow background activity.

This could help.

Spot on, it works now 😂 my bad for not checking it, it was set to restricted battery usage.

@awesomemac  I'm having a similar problem on my Google Pixel 9.

When I close the app the phone media player shuts down and I have to restart the song. Any other app I've used keeps that phone music player open to quickly access your music again. Also when I close the app whatever song I'm listening to goes back to the beginning. I'm running beta but it happens before I started on beta.

@awesomemac Sorry about that. I did post this in another thread but it was so old I thought it was dead. I actually moved to beta to see if it would fix the issue, so yes I had problems in non beta as well.
