Deezer connect on Android app crashes Chrome browser tab

Hi all, I’ve got the app installed on my Samsung S20.  When use the deezer connect option so I can use it to control either the browser tab in chrome, or the desktop app (both not open the same time), on my computer,  it connects, but the screen flickers on the phone as it looks its trying to do some task over and over and at the same time crashing the browser tap or app. Unable to play a single thing.

The error in the browser tap or the installed deezer app on the computer basically says “an error occurred, please try again later”.   Have not been able to get this working. Any ideas?

Computer runs Windows 11 64 bit and the browser is Chrome which is up to date. Desktop app I guess is the latest. It seems to update itself from time to time when I launch it. Any ideas to get this fixed is welcome.

Hi @soakes, @tino.l and @Duality.

Our developers team just sent to me now, the new Deezer version 7.0.23 Android is available in the stores since today - could you please see if updating to this version solves the issue?🤔

Hey @HyperX

Sorry about the delay.

Our developers are already working in a solution for it on our Android app, it’s already solved on our Beta version.🤗

In another hand, our Deezer Connect is only to mobile devices at the moment.😕

Take care.

Glad to hear! Sorry for my "intense" original post, I was a bit fed up after trouble shooting haha.

If it's mobile only how did it still list my webpage? Would that be  bug?

Mobile only?  First I’ve heard of it!

Indeed, when I tried to control a mobile from another mobile, people suggested I try and control a web browser with my mobile.

Good luck trying to get any helpful responses.  I’ve asked about Deezer connect issues on this forum and have also logged a support ticket.  For a while it was all “reinstall Deezer” and other such rather useless advice,  Then they admitted there is a problem.  Everything has gone ridiculously quiet since then.

Damn, thanks soaks. Guess Deezer is in over its head just keeping this service going with no time for improvements :(

Deezer connect just does not work. I have the same flickering issue. Can't control any song. They have implemented this 2 months ago I think and still need time. New user I am. Gotta wait I suppose.

Hi @tino.l

Sorry about this issue, yes as @soakes said, usually when you clean cache and reinstall the latest Deezer app, solve the issue. 😉

But if after that, if you @Duality still getting issue, I need more info to send to our developers and they can investigate it. So, please send me the model of the device, SO and the Deezer app version. If possible any video or screenshot of the issue will be very useful too, because I tested on my side and I don’t have any of those problems.😕

Thank you for your help!🙏🏽

Thank you Johnathan.  Like Duality, I’ve tried clearing the cache and for me it happens not only with the browser session but the app as well which I have tried reinstalling with no change.  The two things I see in common with me and Duality is

Windows 11
Samsung S20 (for me its the FE model)
