Deezer connect on Android app crashes Chrome browser tab

Hi all, I’ve got the app installed on my Samsung S20.  When use the deezer connect option so I can use it to control either the browser tab in chrome, or the desktop app (both not open the same time), on my computer,  it connects, but the screen flickers on the phone as it looks its trying to do some task over and over and at the same time crashing the browser tap or app. Unable to play a single thing.

The error in the browser tap or the installed deezer app on the computer basically says “an error occurred, please try again later”.   Have not been able to get this working. Any ideas?

Computer runs Windows 11 64 bit and the browser is Chrome which is up to date. Desktop app I guess is the latest. It seems to update itself from time to time when I launch it. Any ideas to get this fixed is welcome.

Hi @soakes, @tino.l and @Duality.

Our developers team just sent to me now, the new Deezer version 7.0.23 Android is available in the stores since today - could you please see if updating to this version solves the issue?🤔

Deezer 7.0.24.1 running on Android on a Samsung S21.

Deezer Version 5.30.520 (5.30.520.155) running on a MacBook Pro

As soon as I try to control the Mac Deezer from the Samsung Deezer, I get an error on the Mac (see image) … and nothing plays.

Then I tried again and the song actually plays on the Mac… so it is sort-of working, but not quite right.

It’s complicated.  It still doesn’t work, but it’s better than it was.

As soon as I try to control either the Mac app or the browser (Firefox) I get an error message.  On the app:

On the browser the error message is completely blank.

However, I did subsequently get a song to start on the Mac… but then I tried to change to another song unsuccessfully.  I’ll try controlling another Android device next, but I won’t be able to do that until later today.

It now seems to be working properly in this scenario.  I can now control my S7 using my S21.

I’ll keep an eye on it, obviously ;-) , but this is good :-)

Hmm I can only seem to download 7.0.22 from the Google store. Or at least thats what installs for me. How can I get that new version?

Strangely, I have Version 7.0.24… I wonder if you have to sign up for the beta version?
