Chromecast support, again

There is still crappy support for Chromecast...

First, it seems like the app disconnects from Chromecast when the screen is turned off.
When I open the phone and change song, the Chromecast icon shows connected, but the new song I’m starting starts playing on my phone, while the other song is playing on my hifi system. 

Second, when I connect to Chromecast, and start a song, the song starts playing on my hifi system, but is not controllable from my phone.  I’m not able to pause the song, switch song, or do anything else on my phone which have impact on the song playing on my hifi system, even thought the Chromecast connection shows connected. Whatever I do it’s only apply to my phone speakers. 
The only way so solve this is to disconnect and connect again to select a new song. Earlier it was possible to set the app on pause. Then restart the app and connect again, wait a few seconds after the app is connected to Chromecast and then start the song. Then it would work. Not anymore. 

Annoying!

When will the chromecast issues be fixed?

Deezer app v 8.0.42.3 on a Pixel 8 with Android version 14.

These are some of the steps that apply when solving certain troubleshooting .

 

Chromecast Troubleshooting:

Restart Chromecast:
Unplug the Chromecast from the power source, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in. 

Reset Chromecast:
If restarting doesn't help, consider resetting the Chromecast to factory settings (this will require setup again). 

Check Google Home App:
Ensure your Chromecast is detected and properly configured within the Google Home app. 


Deezer App Troubleshooting:

Restart the App:

Close the Deezer app completely and then reopen it. 
Restart Your Phone:

Reboot your Android phone to clear any temporary glitches. 

Reinstall Deezer:

Uninstall and then reinstall the Deezer app from the Google Play Store. 

Clear Cache:

In your phone's settings, navigate to Apps, find Deezer, and clear its cache. 

Check for Updates:

Ensure you have the latest version of the Deezer app installed.

Thank you for your suggestions. But we’re using the Chromecast audio every day from both Deezer and Spotify, and Deezer is the problem. 

I’ve tested restarting & re-installing the app, and restarting the phone. It doesn’t fix the problem.

It's said to see that the only replies ever given from Deezer support when people complain about the deezer/google cast is to do things that doesn't help and never have. The issue is Deezer not making a proper app.

I really want to use Deezer, but the way Deezer handles things and never fixes anything makes you want to go back to Spotify, even though Spotify doesn't have the same sound quality. Very sad to see.

As Spotify now offers lossless audio, either Deezer have to step up the game, or reduce the prices significantly.
