How can I cast music directly from the Android Deezer app to a Sonos speaker?

For reference it is not my Sonos speaker account.

How can I cast music directly from the Android Deezer app to a Sonos speaker?

For reference it is not my Sonos speaker account.

 

When using my iPhone, I can AirPlay directly from the deezer iOS app to my Sonos system.

When using my Pixel phone, I need to use the Sonos app.

My understanding is that you could download the Sonos app, and once on the same WiFi as the Sonos system in question, you could control the playback through the app, even though it isn’t your Sonos system.

As @GropplerZorn as mentioned, you would need to download the Sonos app to your Android device so you will be able to stream your entire Deezer library 😃

You can give it a go! Just download the Sonos app from your Google Play store 

  1. Within the Sonos app, from the Settings tab, select Services & Voice
  2. Under Music & Content, select Add a Service
  3. Select Deezer from the list
  4. Select I already have an account
  5. Type in your Deezer username and password when prompted and then follow the instructions

Thank you for the replies. It would be great to have an easy Android cast option through the Deezer app (like Spotify connect or casting directly from iHeart).

I was granted access to the speaker through the Sonos app however I am unable to add my services. The account holder would have to authorize that and I did not want to give them access to my account.
