Android - Home Screen Widget - Breaks when Casting

Hi! New to Deezer, just checking it out for the first time today after Spotify removed the Android widget feature. Unfortunately, I'm having a little trouble with Deezer's widget too. It starts out working as expected, I can start/stop, skip, etc... But then I open the app to Cast, and upon returning to the homescreen, the widget no longer displays playback controls, rather it just says "Open Deezer". This is not ideal, but fine.... Except that if I click the widget to open Deezer, Deezer does not open, rather the widget goes blank, and will no longer work until I uninstall and reinstall the whole app! I tried just removing and re-adding the widget, but unfortunately, after initiating a cast apparently, the 4x1 playback widget ceases to exist in the widget picker.

Troubleshooting steps: I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, this works until the next time a Cast is initiated. I have moved to the beta version of the app, this worked until the next time I initiated a Cast. I have a Note9 on Android 9 with July's security patch.

Hi, I can confirm I have exactly the same problem with a Umidigi A5 Pro, stock Android 9.

This has to be addressed with highest priority, because in the next few days Deezer will probably get a lot of new subscribers coming from Spotify and upset by their widget having been removed. For sure the first thing they will try with Deezer is... the widget.

One more detail : there is no need to uninstall/reinstall the application, wiping the data is sufficient (but the result is the same : the application is back to its default settings).

I noticed there was an update out for the beta version, I'm now on 6.1.9.1. The widget behavior seems to have changed slightly. It no longer displays the "open deezer " message upon casting, rather as soon as a cast is initiated the widget goes blank. The widget still disappears from the widget picker, but comes back when the cast is stopped, and the blank widget can then be removed and replaced.

Hi , I can confirm on the beta version the widget comes back in the list as soon as the cast is stopped. However, I already noticed on the previous version that the widget was here again a long time later (several minutes or hours), but it definitely came back by itself without the need to reinstall.

So yes, it is a very slight improvement... We still need to remove the old widget and install it again. Very annoying :(

Please solve this asap.
